September 01, 2015. The ASCON company reported[1] about V16 KOMPAS-3D system implementation for design of family of the extralight space Taimyr rockets and the LOTSMAN:KB system for design management and electronic archive of design documentation in Lin Indastrial company.

The agreement between the companies was signed during the XII International aerospace salon where Lin Indastrial represented the advanced development — the extralight Taimyr rocket. As envisioned by creators, this type of rockets will make space available to everyone — Taimyr will put to orbit in space nano - and microsatellites (up to 180 kg) at the jeep price (1 kg of payload will be to the customer not more expensive of $60 thousand).

Development of so difficult product as rocket requires special attention to design documentation. Manage information on a product and will support electronic archive to help design division of Lin Indastrial with current status the LOTSMAN:KB PDM system developed by ASCON.

The idea of the Russian private rocket integrated designers and software developers.

Dmitri Ginda, marketing manager of the machine-building direction of ASCON: "As the graduate of raketostroitelny department of Military Mechanical Institute I saw a lot of things, but Lin Indastrial was succeeded to surprise me with uncommon design solutions! Will help to realize the idea of "close space" to engineers of this Russian startup KOMPAS-3D now. And our new partners selected not only the tool for design, but also a set of profile applications necessary for them — the Equipment: Metalwork, Equipment: Cables and Bundles and APM FEM for accomplishment of strength calculations. Cooperation with such independent, innovative company which has the right to select software both for design, and for production of the products — for example is valuable to ASCON, in Lin Indastrial actively use additive technologies of production, 3D - printing. We with interest will observe how using our software and on the most modern technologies such advanced development is created and to look forward when the first Taimyr rocket goes into orbit!"
According to the chief designer of Lin Indastrial Alexander Ilyin, KOMPAS-3D is adapted for realities of the Russian aerospace industry therefore in many cases on convenience of using exceeds foreign analogs.
