O1 Properties implemented a management system for IT infrastructure

On December 15, 2015 the Softline company announced completion of works on implementation of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager in O1 Properties.

Tasks and course of the project

O1 Properties were faced by tasks:

• standardize control of corporate PCs
• make the centralized installation and control software updates
• book audit of software on compliance to corporate requirements

For creation of a system of coordination of processes the solution Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager was selected. The Softline company acted as the partner in implementation.

Before work audit of IT infrastructure of the company, and then pilot implementation is booked.

Project implementation results

Centralized operation by IT infrastructure, is as a result minimized time and efforts of users to independent installation of programs, use of the unlicensed software is excluded.

There was an opportunity to obtain the summarized information and to address data on the specific PC in real time. Creation and updating of jobs became simpler and became less costly. Besides, the management system for IT infrastructure allows to adjust automatically deviations and to lead the software to necessary parameters.

The web portal for delivery of software to users is configured. For control of number of installations the possibility of a statement of requests for the software installation by the administrator is configured.

System Center Configuration Manager significantly increases efficiency of IT service. Automation allows to minimize the number of routine transactions and to release time of system administrators for the solution of other important tasks of maintenance of corporate IT infrastructure. Thanks to function of automatic calculation of licenses the customer can plan future purchases of the software. The solution is easily scaled at increase in number of the PC. Besides, with its help identification of use of the undesirable software in workplaces of users is possible.
