Biography

Victor was born on February 17, 1951 in the village of Sudosevo of Bolshebereznikovsky district, Mordovian the ASSR.

Left secondary school in Sudosevo.

Got an education at the Tomsk institute of radio electronics and the electronic equipment.

In 2006 the academic degree of the Doctor of Economics on the subject "Regional Economic Policy in the conditions of Reforming of Economy of the Russian Federation (Problems, the Theory, Practice)" is awarded.

Worked as the engineer in the Dzerzhinsk branch of developmental bureau of automatic equipment.

Worked as the senior engineer in scientific research institute of the Saransk plant — Elektrovypryamitel.

Worked in the Mordovian republican consolidation "Agricultural machinery".

Worked at Mordovgrazhdanproyekt institute.

Since 1985 worked at executive positions in public authorities of the republic:

• vice-chairman Gosplana,
• since 1993 — the Minister of Economics.

In 1996 it is appointed the Deputy Prime Minister of Mordovia.

Since 2008 - the acting rector of Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.

In 2008 became the rector of Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.

For February 18, 2016 Victor Ivanovich Grishin works as the rector of Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.

In August, 2020 the rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Victor Grishin left the post.

"Yes, it is valid, I left" — he confirmed, having specified that he made it at own will. Grishin emphasized that he is nearly 70 years old, and he meanwhile does not know whether he will work somewhere.
