RKS Is expensive the Navigation and information system of support of maintenance of roads

The navigation and information system of support of maintenance of roads "Is expensive to RKS", created based on technologies GLONASS/GPS in Russian space systemsROSKOSMOS JSC " (RKS, is included into State corporation), will allow regional administrations to optimize significantly expenses on seasonal cleaning of streets and roads, including from snow during the winter and spring period.

The solutions used in a system are fulfilled in 2016 within a single system of monitoring of transport of the Yaroslavl region under control of which there are more than 400 vehicles servicing about 8.5 thousand kilometers of roads. It allowed to save up to 20% of the regional budget directed to operation of roads only for the first winter season.

The system of road monitoring "Is expensive to RKS", RKS created by specialists and set on the snow-removing equipment when cleaning snow from highways allows to see a real picture of the actual works of transport – the recurrence of cleaning and also time frames is controlled.

The RKS Is Expensive system gives the chance to automate planning processes of the movement of vehicles and amounts of works on the maintenance of highways in Road Management Departments, to control execution of works taking into account parameters of the movement, categorization of roads, types of tasks. Complex and individual reports on vehicle mileage in an operating cycle exclude payment of use of the equipment out of the set diagram and in other territories. In particular, in the Yaroslavl region on the basis of the analysis of actually performed works on cleaning of snow for the first winter period economy prior to 20% of the general run of the equipment was reached that allows not to pay special transport run out of the planned territories.

The navigation and information system can be used not only as the tool for control of contract organizations, but also for control of transport and operational management of execution of works by the contract companies.

"RKS Is expensive" is one of a number of monitoring systems and control of transport based on the telematic multiservice platform "RKS Complex" and a management system for space data.
