As BBDO Russia upgraded multimedia infrastructure

On March 28, 2016  the Laytnet company  announced the project of the organization of multimedia infrastructure for meeting rooms of BBDO company.

Project Tasks

With business development the BBDO company had a need for creation of a flexible, functional solution for meeting rooms. The operative equipment did not conform to requirements and did not allow to solve modern business challenges fully.  The connected notebook or the desktop computer was a source of content, but often there is a need of use of mobile devices including.

Meeting rooms this the first what our clients, and in some way face, they are the business card of the company, in them there take place the major negotiations with our clients and suppliers, key decisions are made, long-term contracts are signed. Whether it is worth doubting that the level of hardware of meeting rooms should correspond to the level of the company and tasks. We needed not just to update the equipment in meeting rooms, and to create the single platform meeting the highest international standards which can be used at upgrade of other meeting rooms or creation new, using corporate design of BBDO. It was not progress for the sake of progress - we constantly receive positive comments about new opportunities and we see that they are daily used in real work. Project Progress

Having taken the customer's wishes as a basis, specialists of Laytnet developed the project of meeting rooms which main objective - creation of a highly effective multifunction working environment  on the basis of modern AV solutions.

For control of a set of devices the managing Crestron processor is used, in addition to the managing processor the equipment from Crestron is involved: dimmer, receivers and transmitters on the twisted pair cable, the software.

A system is controlled from the tablet Apple iPad. The interface of a product developed for this project by specialists Laytnet is simple and clear in use, the design fits into corporate style of the company. When developing the interface "blind testing" when the employees who do not have technical experience which offered to execute all manipulations without hints of specialists were invited was several times held. All problems and wishes were fixed and entered to the project. Within the project integration with services of the customer was carried out thanks to what the tablet information on the current and forthcoming meetings in meeting rooms, data on access to guest Wi-Fi network, hints on connection of the equipment and another, often used information is displayed.

As displays video projectors of Sony are used. In combination with the mechanism of projection of 3LCD BrightEra the detailed images WUXGA with a brightness of 5000 lumens and a rich saturated color gamma allow to receive powerful laser source of Z-Phosphor.

Video content sources:

• the stationary PC installed in a rack; TV Apple (for connection in the system of devices of Apple);
• wireless system of the presentations and joint work of Barco ClickShare;
• the notebooks connected via HDMI and VGA interface.

At an input to meeting rooms booking systems of meeting rooms Evoko Room Manager are installed. By means of synchronization with Microsoft Office 365 on the screen necessary information is displayed:

• current time,
• time of the beginning/end of a meeting,
• current stage,
• time which remained until the end of the meeting
• information on the next meeting.

Feature of the project - use of a wireless system of the presentations and joint work of Barco ClickShare consisting of two elements - the ClickShare Buttons button connected on USB and the Base Unit block. The basic module uses the fixed connection with the system of video display and performs processing of all necessary data. Users who want to display the presentation just connect the button to the notebook or Mac and the desktop of the attached device at once on a wireless network is transferred to the system of a video output. Besides, when using the smartphone or tablet (running iOS or Android) also, it is possible to bring content to the big screen.

Project Results

In this project we tried to implement all latest trends of AV technologies and very much imposes me that BBDO not only is invented and implement new approaches in the professional area, but also actively integrate the latest technologies into the business. As a result of joint work of IT specialists and designers, we managed to construct the unique, difficult and at the same time simple solution in management.
