Mera underwent external audit on compliance to ISO 9001:2015

2018: Transition to ISO 9001:2015

On August 14, 2018 the MERA company reported that in July, 2018 in the company there took place external audit on compliance of a quality management system to requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Passing of check marked transition of the company to the latest version of ISO 9001.

The international standard ISO 9001:2015 is a basis of the corporate quality management system (QMS) of MERA company. Unlike the version of 2008, ISO 9001:2015 pays special attention to risk management. A partner of the company in certification is the international organization of BSI.

Audit took place within four days and covered a significant amount randomly of the selected projects on software development at five Nizhny Novgorod offices MERA. Representatives of BSI company also checked work of customer services: HR, IT, purchasing department, educational and economic departments. During audit the commission of experts checked procedures of risk management, traceability of requirements of the customer for all development cycle and programs of permanent improvement.

Among strengths of the company auditors noted the mature and effective processes of SMK which are especially concerning R&D projects, customer focus and also competence and the involvement of personnel. The received quality certificate ISO 9001:2015 will work till 2021.

The company also noted that departments of software development and testings are certified on the quality standard of ISO 9001 and the standard of security of ISO 27001 and also are estimated on ML3 maturity level on the CMMI-DEV 1.3 model.

2016: Compliance to ISO 9001:2008

In the spring of 2016 of MERA underwent external audit from certified company BSI on compliance of the Quality management system to requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and to its industry TL9000 expansion (in upgraded version 5.5). Confirmation of existence of mature development processes and testing and also the high level of security of the developed software became the main achievement of the company.

During the audit booked by BSI Group company all basic processes of a quality management system, order management and contracts, customer interactions and also activities of departments of MERA for software development were checked. Among strengths of the company, according to auditors, - existence of professionally built development process and software testing, the high level of productivity of process of internal audits, the high level of competence and involvement of personnel. MERA confirmed compliance to requirements of standards at all stages of software development – from preparation of requirements and creation of software before development of the code and testing. The received certificate will work till 2018.
