On July 4, 2016 the T8 company announced completion of testing in vitro of optical telecommunication single-mode fiber, production of Fiber-optic Systems company.
Project Tasks
Fiber is produced at the plant in Saransk discovered less than a year ago. Before similar fiber was bought mainly in the USA and Japan.

Project Progress
The T8 laboratory received a sample of the optical E3 fiber produced by JSC Optovolokonnye Sistemy according to the ITU-T G.652d standard for quality check and a possibility of use at construction of high-speed trunk lines of communication.
On the DWDM equipment "Volga" created a communication channel of 100 Gbps in single-span the fiber-optic communication line 400 km long, using amplifiers with remote pumping. During tests an inspection of the main characteristics of fiber is carried out, the assessment of technical parameters for their subsequent use by specialists of "T8" in calculations at design of lines is carried out.
Fiber of the Russian production E3 confirmed the characteristics stated by the plant and showed good results of bondability with the majority of the SMF fibers which are available in the market.
