DWDM system 400G - conditional, for April 13, 2016, the name of a high-speed DWDM system capacity of 400 Gbps from T8 company.

2018: Release of the 400G-block with signal transmission on one wavelength

On May 7, 2018 the T8 company showed in operation the development – the high-speed block 400G working at one bearing wavelength.

The high-speed muksponder of 400 Gbps (the system executing time multiplexing of a low-speed signal in high-speed bearing) already is in a line of the Volga DWDM platform. But the provided block, according to the developer, has essential difference – signal transmission is performed on one bearing wavelength whereas the previous model uses two bearing. The updated block allows to condense twice more data transmission in optical fiber, so, to reduce the cost of transfer of traffic in networks of telecom operators and data centers, noted in "T8".

2016: The announcement of DWDM system 400G with two optical carriers

On April 13, 2016 the T8 company announced a high-speed DWDM system capacity of 400 Gbps. The system of an operator class is intended for the organization of high-speed links of communication for standard optical single-mode fiber and allows to organize high-speed links of communication on the operating lines intended under channels of 2.5 Gbps.

The system developed in "T8" is intended for transfer of client 100-Gbit channels with high spectral efficiency on several optical carriers — 2 × 200 Gbps. The solution with two optical carriers - standard for all producers of the DWDM equipment with the stated capacity of 400 Gbps (2 × 200 Gbps).

Client channels of 100 Gbps of the Russian device are transferred in format 2 × (200 Gbps of DP-16QAM) in a grid of ITU-T of 50 GHz with SD-FEC error correction function. Required the OSNR transponder — 18  dB, sending range up to 500 km. It is the most capacious telecommunication system of wavelength division multiplexing, from ever created earlier in Russia.

The trend on high-speed DWDM communication systems is set by the largest world data centers: Facebook, Google, Amazon. In plans of these companies — installation of the DWDM equipment for the organization of channels of 200 Gbps on one bearing in the amount for $ 500 million a year. Therefore development of the similar systems — a question of the near future. We are proud that we can offer our clients the most modern and hi-tech equipment which is developed and manufactured in Russia. We calculate that data centers and the large Internet companies will become interested in our system, on the price characteristics our system does not concede to foreign analogs, saving at the same time the quality level of the European and American equipment.

A system can be performed, both in a block format for the Volga DWDM platform, and in a format of the 1U-device equipped with own control block and the reserved power supplies. Total capacitance of a system — 400 Gbps or 800 Gbps with a depth of 600 mm, the "back to a back" installation.

For April 13, 2016 "T8", according to her statement, completely completed development of the 400-gigabit equipment and it passes test.
