Biography

Kirill Androsov was born on June 13, 1972 in Murmansk.

Education

In 1994 he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University.

Then he graduated from the graduate school of the St. Petersburg Academy of Engineering and Economics and defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences.

In 2005, he graduated from the School of Business at the University of Chicago (Executive MBA).

Career

From 1994 to 1995 - head of the AOZT Agency Dom Plus project.

From 1995 to 1996 - investment manager of the representative office of the Finnish banking investment company Hansa Investments.

From 1996 to 1997 - Adviser to the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Urban Property Management of St. Petersburg on economic issues.

From 1997 to 1998 - Head of the Investment Projects Department of the City Property Management Committee of St. Petersburg.

From 1998 to 1999 - Director of the Department of Urban Property Economics of the St. Petersburg City Property Management Committee.

In 2010 - managing partner of the investment company Altera Capital.

In 2011 - Member of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways.

Since September 2011 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways.

From July 26, 2012 to June 26, 2017 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aeroflot OJSC.

Kirill Androsov and entrepreneur Yevgeny Novitsky participated in a joint project to build a resort in the Maldives. In 2015, the then President of the Republic of Maldives, Abdullah Yamin, "as part of a large-scale corruption scheme," leased Depezar Services from the British Virgin Islands for $2.5 million to a lagoon in the South Male Atoll. 50% of Depezar Services was owned by the Singapore private equity fund Lang Capital Fund, which was managed by Androsov. And Novitsky invested $50 million in this fund.

Later in 2018, Abdullah Yamin was deprived of power, and a year later he was convicted of money laundering. In 2021, he faced new charges of corruption. According to the prosecution, in connection with the "sale" of the islands, the losses of the Maldives budget are estimated at $80 million.

As of April 2017, Androsov was a Member of the Board of Directors of Rusnano. Later in 2017, he left this post.

At different times he was also a member of the Board of Directors of Channel One, LSR Group, Ruspetro plc and the investment fund Altera, RAO UES of Russia, Rosneft, OAO Zarubezhneft, OAO VTB, OAO Svyazinvest, OAO GAO.

Awards and titles

He was awarded the Order of Honor and the Stolypin medal of P. A. II degree.

Winner of the VII National Director of the Year Award (2012) in the nomination "Chairman of the Board of Directors: Contribution to the Development of Corporate Governance."

Included in the list of Young Global Leaders (YGL) of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
