Delta Telekom received the high-speed channel of transit of traffic to Europe

On August 23, 2016 the Transtelecom company announced end of the organization of a transit communication channel between Azerbaijan and Sweden capacity of 100 Gbps by request of Delta Telekom operator.

Project Tasks

The organization by Transtelecom of service of IP-Access on the Russian-Azerbaijani boundary transition Samur-Yalama became a starting point of the project. TransTeleCom provided internetwork connection on DWDM technology with the Azerbaijani operator, and summer of 2016, satisfying requirements of Delta Telekom for volumes of transfer of transit traffic to Europe, provided to the operator the trunk channel to Stockholm.

Transtelecom pays much attention to cooperation increase with foreign telecom operators and to development of the direction of the international transit of traffic. The network of Transtelecom allows to provide transfer of large volumes of traffic of operators of the states, adjacent with Russia, with the minimum signal delay. Project Progress

For project implementation Transtelecom carried out in July, 2016 upgrade of a backbone network in Southern and North Caucasian federal districts on section "Caucasian – Samur", organizing a digital stream 100G from Moscow to Azerbaijan. It helped to provide reservation of communication channels for the admission of the international traffic from Russia to Azerbaijan and the Middle Eastern countries. Within upgrade of channels section of a backbone network "Mineralnye Vody – Cool – Ishcherskaya – Gudermes – Kizil-Yurt" with a total length more than 380 km is brought into operation.

The Transtelecom company is one of large partners of communication of our company in the direction of providing the international transit traffic. Regular investments of the company in development of the backbone network allowed to increase a flow of transit traffic to Europe and ensured smooth operation of communication channels and the Internet. Project Results

Using the provided channel the Azerbaijani operator was connected to providers of Internet services and a large European point of exchange of traffic of Netnod Internet Exchange in Stockholm.
