2020: DC1000B
On January 15, 2020 the Kingston Technology company announced DC1000B exit - SSD for data processing centers. The boot drive of DC1000B in a form factor of M.2 with the NVMe interface is suitable for the servers equipped with one or two slots of the M.2 NVMe. Thus, there is an opportunity to save frontal 2.5-inch compartments for additional tanks for data storage.
According to the company, DC1000B is developed in a form factor 2280, includes the built-in protection against power failure and has endurance 0.5 DWPD that prolongs the term of its service. Kingston DC1000B differs in performance, the speed of work up to 3.2 GB / with and 205 thousand IOPS, and is intended for loading and also for caching and maintaining magazines of applications.
Though the form factor of M.2 was initially developed for client computers, the small physical sizes and high performance do it attractive and for use on servers. DC1000B is created especially for modern servers as white box, and from OEM manufacturing of servers of category Tier 1 who use SSD drives of the NVMe format M.2 for loading. Model it is also possible to configure as local a cache drive. Keith Schimmenti, the head of corporate SSD Kingston told |
DC1000B is the solid-state NVMe-drive in a form factor of M.2 (2280) using the PCIe Gen interface 3.0 x 4 with 3D TLC of NAND. This model will become the economic boot drive for data processing centers as it is intended for use on the server. The disk is suitable for use in rack servers of large volume as the internal boot drive and also in the specialized systems where high-performance SSD M.2 with the built-in protection against power failure (PLP) is required.
DC1000B is issued in the tanks of 240 GB and 480 GB, is followed by the limited five-year warranty, a free technical support.

2019
DC450R
On October 29, 2019 the Kingston Digital company, division on production a flash memory of Kingston Technology company, world developer and producer of devices for data storage, announced the beginning of deliveries of solid state drives of a corporate class, Data Center 450R (DC450R).
DC450R — high-performance SSD with the SATA interface (6 Gbps) on a basis a flash memory 3D TLC NAND which was developed for use in environments with a large number of read operations of data. This device optimized for servers differs in good working indicators and high predictability of number of input-output operations and delays that is one of the major criteria when choosing SSD for DPC. DC450R is created in strict accordance with requirements of Kingston to QoS therefore provides steadily high level of performance during the work with the different tasks connected with reading and caching of data.
The drive is intended for 24/7 smooth operation in the environments connected, for example, with CDN networks (content delivery network), peripheral calculations and software-defined architecture of data storage. DC450R has specialized feature set which will allow data centers to pick up the most economic and suitable solid state drives for their type of loadings. Clients who are engaged in production of products and solutions and also signing of SLA (the agreement on the service level) need stable results therefore DC450R can become for collectors of systems and suppliers of cloud services the standard highly productive, inexpensive and, the main thing, reliable solid state drives.
For modern data centers and workloads solid state drives which have specialized feature set are necessary and are suitable for work in environments with a large number of read operations. Our DC450R model meets all these requirements and will give to the management of DPC the chance to pick up the drives suitable under their loadings, without overpaying for writing rate. The high number of input-output operations and predictably a low delay allow to achieve stable performance, and it both concerns applications on the server, and the speed of operation of the user interface. Keith Schimmenti, the head SSD for a corporate segment in Kingston |

DC500R
The company Kingston Digital, Inc., division on production a flash memory of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced in March, 2019 release of Data Center 500 – lines of corporate SSD. The DC500R model is optimized for intensive reading, and DC500M – for the mixed workloads. Both solid state drives of DC500 series meet the strict requirements of Kingston to service quality (QoS) to provide the predictable performance of any input-output and also predictably a low delay with the broad range of the workloads connected with a read and write of data.
The disk DC500R is ideal for use in situations where the set of read operations – is supposed when loading programs, in Web servers, infrastructure of virtual desktops, operational databases and in analytics in real time. Suppliers of cloud services and founders of software-defined networks of storage can use advantages of stability of input-output and level of a delay to provide compliance to requirements of QoS in the environments focused on reading. At 0.5 DWPD (number of the written disks in day) DC500R allows IT administrators to optimize investments into the equipment for data storage: the disk provides performance, firmness and reliability.
The disk DC500M is intended for the mixed workloads in situations where there is more uniform balance of read operations and record. It is ideal for suppliers of cloud services and software-defined networks of storage who need flexible infrastructure for effective adaptation and management of transaction workloads. These workloads include work with artificial intelligence, the analysis of Big Data, cloud computing, applications of databases, the data warehouse, machine learning and operational databases. DC500M with an indicator of endurance 1.3 DWPD is ideal for the market of rack servers of large volume for upgrade of drives, for servers of large-scale data processing centers and suppliers of cloud services for which inexpensive high-performance subsystems of storage are required.
2016: DC400
DC400 is the solution of initial level for data centers.
On September 5, 2016 the Kingston Digital company provided the corporate solid state drive of the initial Data Center 400 (DC400) level.
The device supplements a line of solid state drives of a corporate class and is held for use in servers of data centers. SSD is focused on exacting applications, for example, of loading of a system, Web servers, operational databases with small capacity and analysts – especially in data centers with the mixed workloads where reliability and durability are significant.
The expanded cache for DRAM memories provides high and steady input-output operations (IOPS) for performance improvement with the broad range of workloads of reading record. The standard and also configured reserve area (over-provisioning) increases performance of accidental IOPS (number of operations per second) and endurance while the microcode of the corporate level (enterprise firmware) optimizes delays and provides steadily quick access to data at established workloads. SSD DC400 has reliability of the corporate level with security blanket of a path of passing of data, the protection against power failures (pFAIL) which is built in a firmware.
Several versions of capacity are supported: 400 GB, 480 GB, 800 GB, 960 GB, 1.6 TB and 1.8 TB.
