IFS Maintenix Operator Edition: optimization of inventory management and work planning

On September 4, 2018 the Mxi Technologies company announced release of the next version of the service management solution and engineering maintenance of the IFS Maintenix Operator Edition aircraft equipment. Changes affected basic functionality of a product, including logistics, engineering maintenance, automation of actions of users when working, data protection and tracking of compliances of requirements of developers and manufacturers of the aircraft equipment and the state bodies performing functions on control and supervision of observance of the national legislation and international treaties in the field of aircraft.

According to the company, IFS Maintenix Operator Edition already available to users of the solution differs in the following improvements:

  • Inventory management optimization – mechanisms for optimization of distribution of material stocks between the centralized storages and warehouses placed in close proximity to jobs that allows to satisfy quicker and more effectively requests for providing with spare parts and supplies are added to the solution IFS Maintenix Operator Edition, minimizing delays in service of aircrafts and their components.
  • Automation of planning of the interconnected works – functionality of "building" of tasks allows to improve work of divisions of engineering when planning and tracking terms of accomplishment of orders for periodic service and maintenance of serviceable condition of the equipment. The automation algorithms considering restrictions of the postponed faults and requirements to the works performed after repair of elements of power construction of the aircraft simplify maintenance.
  • Strict observance of rules of authorization of works and tracking of compliances to the set requirements – in the solution there was a tool for formalization of requirements to qualification of the specialists having the right to closing of working cards after accomplishment of complex works on service of AF and their components and also for conducting independent inspections. The functionality provides higher level of control and compliance to requirements at accomplishment of problems of service.
  • System functions – the IFS company aimed considerable investments at the development of technologies of the reference platform of the solution providing the best scalability, data protection, fast updating of applications and first technical support of customers.
  • The certified technology – in addition to updating of a core of a system for achievement of processing compatibility with the current version of the Java 8 language, the solution IFS Maintenix Operator Edition as of September, 2018 was certified for work with all shared software products of third-party producers, guaranteeing operability of crucial applications for management of maintenance and engineering maintenance of the aircraft equipment and compliance to technology standards.

IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner и IFS Maintenix Line Planner

On May 21, 2018 the IFS company announced start of the solutions IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner and IFS Maintenix Line Planner available on the terms of providing service of use of the software of Software as a service (SaaS) designed to help large commercial operators and small airlines to increase efficiency of planning of basic and linear service of aircrafts it is rational to use the selected resources and to increase operational readiness of the plane park. Start of these services the IFS company opens a series of the specialized IFS Maintenix SaaS-applications for satisfaction of crucial needs of the market of commercial aircraft for planning of maintenance and support of the flight validity of the aircrafts focused on accomplishment of the main business challenges.

The solution IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner is intended for creation and optimization of plans of basic service of the fleet and decrease in labor input of their updating. The tool allows to create and reuse the enlarged and detail dispatching schedules of maintenance and repair of AF, to make corrections to them depending on the selected target performance indicators of business, to model scenarios "that if" simple setup of conditions and restrictions, and timely to bring production plans tasks and their changes to contractors and the contract organizations for a MRO. Due to increase in efficiency of planning heads have an extra time for the analysis of large volumes of data and the choice of the best of possible options, and in case of need – for operational and timely adjustment of the working schedule, noted in IFS.

The solution IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner in one of North American airlines owning the fleet of widebody, narrow-body and regional airplanes was put on trials in the conditions of real operation. Its implementation allowed to provide existence of reserve aircrafts in the set readiness for accomplishment of runs and to increase return from use of the hangar areas.

The solution IFS Maintenix Line Planner allows to create and bring with the minimum costs of working time to contractors and the contract organizations for a MRO relevant diagrams of preflight and postflight service of AF and to notify quickly on emergence of changes in them. Quality improvement of planning is reached due to selection in a flow of works of tasks with a high priority and timely identification of problems at service, such as shortage of materials, labor power or ground equipment. Due to timely detection of needs for accomplishment of unplanned works IFS Maintenix Line Planner allows to reach harmonious interaction of contractors, to improve performance of linear service, to reduce runtime of separate transactions and to achieve rational use of the general network resources, emphasized in IFS.

According to the developer, both IFS Maintenix applications work in the environment of SaaS and have simple interfaces for joint work with the different software of third-party producers used for maintenance and maintenance of the flight validity of aircrafts that allows airlines and the MRO organizations quickly and without excess costs to start use of the innovative solutions developed for satisfaction of the growing needs of business customers for improvement of processes of service and overcoming the difficulties caused by organizational changes and increase in the fleet of airline.

SaaS-сервис IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner is already available to use, and remote access to the IFS Maintenix Line Planner application will be provided to customers of IFS company in the third quarter 2018.

2017: Mxi Maintenix

For May 3, 2017 Mxi Maintenix is the automated control system for lifecycle of aircrafts.

Maintenix is the integrated, web focused software platform for work on stationary and mobile devices created taking into account a scope of a range of services on service of the aircraft equipment within uniform integrated business solution.

The functionality of a system allows to manage a flow of works, to use graphic tools for planning, to configure an information access about maintenance accomplishment in real time, to plan works on a MRO and maintenance of the flight validity of aircrafts on the basis of safe paperless technologies, providing an opportunity as much as possible to use revenue growth potential due to increase in intensity of operation of fixed assets to the organizations and the enterprises with the aviation fleet of any size.

The technology helps to automate the processes creating cost at service of aircrafts. In a system the functionality regarding compliance of specialized requirements of airlines, defense organizations (Air Force) and equipment manufacturers (OEM) works.

A system maintains functionality of the basic, creating added value business processes:

  • function of long-term planning - aggregates and provides for the analysis detailed and exact information for acceptance of strategic decisions on integrated management of the available air fleet,
  • control function by the distributed transactions - solves a unique set of problems which the Air Force in process of management of periodic or unplanned transactions with the air fleet faces and also allows to manage service of groups of the aircrafts occupied on a permanent or temporary basis with the solution of autonomous tasks during in advance not a certain term.
