2016: Replacing the solution with PM Forsyth
In 2016, the project management information system was replaced by the import-independent Forsyth PM solution included in the register of domestic software.
2014: Launch of project planning and monitoring system
In January 2014 , Project Practice announced the launch of an automated project planning and monitoring system in the Formula Sochi Directorate of the Omega Center, which is the promoter of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Russia. Using this system, it is planned to manage the preparation and implementation of the Formula 1 Grand Prix stage in Sochi, which is to be held in October 2014.
The agreement for the organization of the stage of the World Championship in ring racing in the Formula 1 class was signed with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2010. Project Practice notes that the implemented project management system will be able to be used until 2020 - during the entire period of the contract with the Formula 1 group of companies.
The system is created on the basis of the PPM PLUS Project Practice solution, which is based on the Microsoft PPM 2013 functionality (for detailed task planning and project resource management), but complements it with an "add-on" in the form of a web portal. The latter provides comprehensive management of all project activities: monitoring the implementation of the portfolio (program) of projects, project management by control points, control over the passage of the life cycle stages of the project, change and risk management, etc.
It is expected that the system created for the Sochi Formula Directorate will provide an opportunity for the organizers of the Formula 1 Grand Prix stage to receive operational and consolidated analytical information on the progress of the implementation of the entire portfolio of projects, monitor and control all project management processes according to various indicators.
In addition, the system will increase the efficiency and efficiency of communications between project participants, standardize the forms of reports and plans, form a single information space and provide information support for the maintenance of project documents, they expect in the "Project Practice."
The first phase of the system should be implemented by mid-February 2014, and in the future it is planned to develop and increase its functionality.
