LanCloud transferred cloud infrastructure to DPC of DataPro

The cloud provider of LanCloud announced on July 19, 2017 transfer of a server framework in the DPC of DataPro located in Moscow on Aviamotornaya St. Cumulative power of DPC exceeds 20 MW and gives a placement opportunity to 3 thousand server racks.

The cloud platform of LanCloud provides triple duplication and reservation of all information of customers that allows to provide a financial guarantee of reliability. But an important factor is also where and as the server hardware is placed. For this reason we made the decision on transfer of the main cloud infrastructure in one of reliable DPCs with the certificate of Tier-III Facility" — Sergej Erin, the director of business development of LanCloud commented on the choice of data center.

Tier-III Facility certification, in particular, means that the data processing center underwent internal certification of the Uptime Institute organization, executed all regulations on reliability assurance and security of infrastructure on the level of reservation 2N. In particular, the DPC should be powered a minimum from two power substations, have two independent groups of independent diesel generator sets on a case of complete de-energization, two independent lines of an Internet channel, etc. The same concerns also conditioning systems, fire extinguishing and security. Finally, the data processing center certified on Tier-III Facility provides availability not lower than 99.982%, thus, a cumulative downtime cannot exceed 1.6 hours a year, emphasized in LanCloud.
