Volgodeminoil (LoRaWAN)

ER-Telecom is going to develop network for Internet of Things of the LoRaWAN standard (Long Range Wide Area Networks). In particular, 2017 it has to be constructed 1 thousand base stations. In total till 2019 it is going to start network in 60 cities of Russia with the population more than 300 thousand people, ComNews writes in September, 2017. This network, including, will cover production sites.

The project was begun with the Volgograd region where the operator built network on LoRaWAN technology for digitalization of the Volgodeminoil oil company. According to the edition, the company installed IoT-sensors on oil wells which transfer the key process parameters from the equipment to the base station of LoRaWAN, then to a cloud platform for data processing and remote control of parameters of technology processes. The distance from the base station to the well makes 15 km, from the well to base of the oil company - 100 km.

According to the results of project implementation on the oil company it was already succeeded to reduce accident rate to 12%, and losses - to 8% due to reduction of time for elimination of an incident.

Also the ITPS group participates in the "Digitalization of Wells of Volgodeminoil Company on the basis of IoT-Wednesday on LoRaWAN Technologies and Platforms of Digital Production AVIST" project Enfort.

The project of digitalization of wells is implemented for the purpose of increase in production level and safety of operation of objects due to remote control of parameters of technology processes in real time. The implemented complete solution includes:

• data transmission medium – the wireless network of data transmission created by Enforta company on LoRaWAN technology;
• cloud platform of industrial Internet of Things and digital production AVIST of ITPS group;
• the system of the summary production reporting implemented by ITPS.

Process parameters from the sensors installed on production facilities are transferred on a wireless network to a cloud platform of AVIST for data processing and remote control of production processes. AVIST in real time analyzes the received parameters of wells (pressure, temperature, loading, insulation resistance, etc.) and using analytical rules of filtering of signals reveals events which can have a critical impact on key production processes. AVIST allows to reduce the number of losses and time of idle times due to pro-active control of parameters of the equipment, rapid and competent response already at a stage of identification of probability of approach of an incident (scenarios of response to different incidents are registered in a system).
