2018: System implementation of synchronization and file sharing Tekhnodisk
The Technoserv company announced on February 15, 2018 implementation in the Moscow headquarters of a corporate information system of the synchronization and file sharing Tekhnodisk unrolled in a cloud the Technoserv Cloud.
Prerequisites
Specialists of Technoserv apply a corporate file exchange system to the organization of joint work and centralization of storage and file sharing. The previous solution was deployed on internal infrastructure of Technoserv with all corresponding features connected with need of the current administration, reservation and difficulties of fast scaling. It not always met constantly raising requirements of business.
Project Progress
In December, 2017 Technoserv announced start of service of storage and synchronization of data based on own cloud platform the Technoserv Cloud — Tekhnodisk. Along with it took a test of this solution in Technoserv. In total about 200 users from among the staff of the company tested the solution "Tekhnodisk" in different operation modes for three months.
Transition to the platform took place imperceptibly for users, with transfer of all data from the previous file exchange system. The Technoserv Cloud command needed about two weeks on solution integration with a corporate landscape and individual preference of all parameters of a system.
Agents of synchronization of the cloud storage with local folders are available to workstations, and instruments of work about Tekhnodisk are integrated with Microsoft Office. Access to a system is possible also from mobile devices of employees on the Internet using the corresponding applications.
Project Results
Since January, 2018 Technoserv completely passed to the system of synchronization and file sharing Tekhnodisk on the Accellion kiteworks platform. As of February 15, the storage with a capacity of 200 GB is available to each user of a system, if necessary expansion practically up to any volumes is possible.
The project was implemented in response to a joint request of the divisions of the company which are responsible for information technologies and information security. Using a possibility of branding of the solution under the customer, the company selected the name "Technoserv Disk" and Technoserv uses a corporate domain. "Technoserv the Disk" is unrolled in a cloud the Technoserv Cloud on the closed virtual infrastructure selected for the company independent that allows to save on the capital investments in the equipment and to have an opportunity to consume exactly so many resources how many it is necessary.
The Accellion kiteworks platform supports the required level of information security. "Technoserv the Disk" can be integrated into implementations with the corporate DLP system of the company. Also the solution can use additional options of security, for example, ensuring confidentiality of the workstations which are synchronized about "Technoserv the Disk" using crypto - the container created using BitLocker, use of ample opportunities on remote control of data transmission in the platform.
Besides, the built-in antivirus protection and the firewall providing protection of network against unauthorized access with filtering of internal and external traffic can be used, multifactor authentication of users (MFA) and integration into the ATP systems (Advanced Threat Protection) can be applied.
For security of use on mobile devices users can be limited by the administrator in a possibility of extraction of files out of limits of mobile application of kiteworks, and all operations on viewing and editing files, in that case, will be carried out only in the application.
The corporate information system of synchronization and file sharing is distinguished by simplicity and mobility of service in combination with security and security. In general transfer of service of file sharing in a cloud gives the chance to provide to it access for our employees and external users without additional costs on fulfillment of requirements on security of a corporate landscape. According to Technoserv, a system solves a set of problems:
- storage and viewing documents and media files,
- file sharing,
- file synchronization between the PC and mobile devices,
- integration with a mail service of Outlook,
- integration into the corporate software and with popular cloud services,
- integration with SSO services (Single Sign On, "A uniform input").
Among the main, most popular scenarios of its use in the company called:
- file transfer to the partner and receiving from it (downloading according to the link is possible even without registration of the partner who does not have access to a system),
- creation of the folder for joint work over files and invitations in it of colleagues,
- creation of the folder and request at colleagues of loading of files in it.
As of February 15, more than 800 users work with a system, turning on both the staff of Technoserv, and partners, contractors and customers of the company. At once it became clear that the new solution is in great demand: for the first 2 weeks the volume of the used storage grew by 250 GB and continues to grow. As the solution is deployed in a cloud the Technoserv Cloud, a system is flexibly scaled and we consume resources according to our real requirements — Aleksey Berzin, the director of the department of information technologies of Technoserv company told. — As each employee independently manages the storage, including providing access to it, a system accelerates information exchange with our partners and practically does not incur in itself expenses for the current administration, providing access and support of the solution. |
2017: System implementation of management and rendering IT services of ServiceNow
The Technoserv company, the Russian system integrator, announced on September 18, 2017 implementation of the centralized control system and rendering IT services from the ServiceNow company working in the field of ITSM solutions (IT Service Management, ITSM).
Prerequisites of the Project
As of September, 2017, the staff of Technoserv company consists from more than 2700 employees. In addition to the main Moscow office, Technoserv has 9 regional representative offices and 5 more affiliated enterprises. Specialists of Technoserv apply an ITSM system to the centralized support of work of all IT systems and the equipment of the company in all its divisions.
Eventually the ITSM solution which is earlier used in Technoserv became morally outdated that resulted in difficulties in the course of its updating, and implementation of additional functionality required essential labor costs. Besides, the landscape of the systems of Technoserv includes a number of the service systems used for service of staff of the company. In addition to IT support, it is requests in HR, in administrative service, etc.
As a result the company management made the decision on transfer of Technoserv on the modern ITSM platform.
System Selection
For project implementation the special working group including more than 20 employees from several divisions was created. The choice of the ITSM platform happened the first stage. The list of functional and nonfunctional requirements to a system was for this purpose created, market research is carried out and 10 potential solutions of both the Russian, and foreign production are selected. Proceeding from assessment of each solution on a functional covering of requirements of integrator, labor input and cost of necessary completions and also costs for the subsequent maintenance of a system the decision on implementation of the ServiceNow ITSM platform was made.
Implementation Progress
ServiceNow offers a single platform for automation of lifecycle of IT services, project management, personnel, resources, risks, etc. It is also worth noting that since 2014 Technoserv is an official partner of ServiceNow and has own examination on products of vendor.
The implementation project started in January, 2017, in April engineers of Technoserv finished setup of a system, in May is launched in the trial operation (TO). From May to August gradual connection to process of OPE of divisions of the company, and by its results — final setup of the solution and transfer to commercial operation within all company was carried out.
Project Results
On a withdrawal of Technoserv, the implemented solution optimized processes of service of end users due to implementation of instruments of control of SLA, automatic procedures of escalation of addresses, providing an opportunity to users to quickly obtain information on a work flow on their address and so forth.
A system is used for technical support of users, the order and repair of the equipment and also approval of access to information systems of Technoserv. Requests of users accept more than 50 employees of the relevant divisions — department of information technologies, service and outsourcing, service cybersecurity.
The implemented system operates normally, transition took place surprisingly smoothly. Implementation of the ServiceNow platform allowed us to optimize processes of technical support and interaction of divisions within work on addresses of users. Such approach simplifies our corporate IT landscape and allows to optimize costs for its maintenance. Obviously, as it is much more comfortable to employees to work in the mode of "single window" — Aleksey Berzin, the director of the department of information technologies noted Technoserv. — In the long term, due to further development of a self-service portal we are going to expand a range of the services rendered to employees — as by expansion of the list of services of department of information technologies, and transfer of services in it our internal divisions — HR, administrative service and so forth. |
