High-speed telecommunication route with a capacity of 100 Gbps from China to Europe

The Transtelecom company (TransTeleCom) and China Telecom, the operator of networks of fixed connection in the world, announced on October 26, 2017 end of the large-scale project on creation of the first land high-speed telecommunication route with a capacity of 100 Gbps from China to Europe. The channel will allow to bring with the minimum delays large volumes of these international clients from Asia to the largest point of exchange of traffic in Frankfurt.

Project implementation became possible thanks to creation of an internetwork joint at border of the countries. Transtelecom and China Telecom connected communication lines between the cities of Zabaykalsk from the Russian side and Mangruli from the Chinese side. Thanks to the signed agreement operators can already offer an optimal route of data transmission for the international clients to whom information transmission rate and reliability of networks is equally important.

Russia geographically is the optimal communication bridge between Europe and Asia thanks to the shortest distance and according to the minimum signal delay. The land route also differs from alternative underwater communication lines in high reliability, opportunities for reservation of channels and operational elimination of possible emergency situations. These factors often act solving when choosing service provider of data transmission as for the European, and Asian clients, explained in a TTK.

The organization of the first land route of such capacity between Asia and Europe is only the beginning of our cooperation with China Telecom. The China Telecom operator owns the largest network of fixed connection, providing, as of October, 2017, Internet access more than for 128 million subscribers in China.

Transtelecom locates an extensive backbone network of the communication located along the railroads. In 2017 the telecommunication operator completed transfer process of all international transit traffic on Long Haul DWDM technology. The TTK ultramodern network LH DWDM 20000 km long and capacity with a capacity up to 80 optical links 100G everyone provides safe transfer of traffic on thousands of kilometers with small quantity of points of regeneration and minimum signal delay which makes only 153 ms.
