Toyota Kirobo Mini

On November 22, 2017 Toyota Motor announced entry into the market of the pocket communication Kirobo Mini robot. The model for the first time shown in November of the 2015th at the Tokyo Motor Show exhibition later goes two years on sale in the automobile dealer centers Toyota in Japan.

Connected to an automobile system, Kirobo Mini will be able to tell the driver how many fuel at it remained in the gasoline tank. And working together with one of the Toyota Home systems smart homes, the robot will warn if suddenly the owner, leaving the house, forgets to close doors and also will inform on that, heating or heating are included or switched off, the Nikkei edition describes development.^[1]

The price of the communication robot — 42,984 yens ($385 at the rate of for November 23, 2017), including taxes. Also use of Kirobo Mini will require the customized smartphone application, the subscription to which will cost 350 yens a month ($3.1).^[2]

It should be added that Toyota Motor considers robotics one of the perspective directions. For developments in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics the company in 2015 opened a research institute of Toyota Research Institute with the budget in $1 billion.
