2018: Offer of Rusatom Healthcare on construction of the center for the concessionary agreement

On September 6, 2018 the Rusatom Healthcare company (integrator of ROSATOM State Corporation in the field of radiation technologies in medicine) together with private investment group of Region companies sent to the Government of Khabarovsk Krai the offer on the conclusion of the concessionary agreement on creation of the Center of proton radiation therapy in Khabarovsk. 2017: Activation of works on creation of the center

In November, 2017 the governor of Khabarovsk Krai Vyacheslav Shport discussed with the CEO of "The agency of development of project initiatives" Valeria Repkova and the head of the commercial direction of Rusatom Healthcare Yury Pronin a question of construction of the Center of proton radiation therapy in Khabarovsk.

The similar center is of great importance for development of hi-tech medicine in Khabarovsk Krai. It should become interregional for residents of all Far East. We already have the most up-to-date PET-center which allows to reveal malignant tumors at early stages. Use of proton radiation therapy will become the next step on the way of increase in efficiency of fight against oncological diseases. In this direction we need to adopt experience of colleagues of the Pacific Rim who made great progress — Vyacheslav Shport said.

During the meeting the governor of the region charged to speed up works on creation of the Center of proton radiation therapy in Khabarovsk. For project implementation in the government of the region the working group will be created.

As of November, 2017, in Russia still similar method of treatment is not applied. Construction of the similar proton centers is conducted in St. Petersburg and Dimitrovgrad of the Ulyanovsk region.

Activate project implementation in the field of high-precision medical care — order of the Russian President Vladimir Putin which sounded during the Message to Federal Assembly in December, 2016.

Earlier, in September, 2017, the Government of the region and "The agency of development of project initiatives" signed the agreement on joint project implementation on the terms of public-private partnership. The structure is included into Region group - it is diversified investment holding which invests money in infrastructure facilities, housing and public utilities and health care.^[1]
