REU of G.V. Plekhanov and MESI completed integration of IT infrastructure

On December 13, 2017 the Softline company announced integration of accounts of employees and students of MESI with cloud services of REU of G.V. Plekhanov.

Project Tasks

Due to the accession of MESI to REU of G.V. Plekhanov it was required to save data of users and to provide them access to the Office 365 tools and to information resources of the university.

Specialists of the center of information technologies initiated the project of integration of accounts into uniform infrastructure. For implementation by the partner the Softline company is selected.

Project Progress

At the initial stage experts of Softline conducted examination of IT infrastructure in REU of G.V. Plekhanov and considered all necessary for merge of two universities. Then executed migration of accounts of the Active Directory of MESI in the directory of the university with the subsequent setup of cloud services. Data are transferred without failures and idle times.

Design based on technologies of Microsoft of a management portal accounts which is implemented in the form of the adaptive web application became the next stage. The functionality allows:

• create requests for receiving and change of the login and password,
• address in technical support at emergence of problems with authorization.

Project Results

In a project deliverable uniform infrastructure of two higher educational institutions is created. According to the results of the project students and teachers got access to services of the joint university by means of a uniform account.
