Soyuzneftegazservice (SNGS) (HPC HUB Virtual HPCaaS supercomputer)

Computing supercapacities are necessary to the knowledge-intensive industries. So, HPCaaS can be popular when modeling fields and processing seismic data, in bioinformation science or for development of the innovation drugs.

Soyuzneftegazservice and laboratory of bioinformation science of scientific research institute of physical and chemical medicine became one of the first clients of HPC Hub. The cloud platform of the HPC Hub supercomputers was started for development of scientific base of the project of genetic tests by the Knomiks company entering into biomedical holding "Atlas". "Кномикс" tested computing powers and software, having analyzed several thousands of Russian samples of biomaterial – or more than 10 TB of data – for the project on studying of an intestinal metagenome. Thanks to collected data scientists made a hypothesis of dependence of a mental status of the person on life activity of bacteria in intestines (bacteria, under an assumption of scientists, can directly influence a brain, provoke a depression and even autism). For ensuring successful accomplishment of this research specialists of HPC Hub transferred metagenomic payplayn (the software set for processing of the metagenomic data developed by researchers of Knomics) to a cloud and accelerated its work more than by 8 times.
