VGTRK buys products of Microsoft for 300 million rubles

On December 20, 2017 "All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company" (VGTRK) summed up the auction results on delivery of licenses of the software of Microsoft. The cost of purchase was estimated at 308.8 million rubles.^[1]

The tender did not cause a stir at participants - only one application from Comparex company was submitted for an auction. As a result it was recognized cancelled, and the tender committee recommended to the customer to sign the contract with the only participant.

According to the tender documentation, the customer expects to obtain 6100 workplace licenses, the including MS Office applications, possibilities of client connection to servers of Microsoft and also updating of the Windows operating system to the latest version. Besides, delivery more than 1300 licenses for Windows Server in editions Standart and 6 licenses in edition Datacenter (unlimited virtualization) is required.

In addition the customer needs licenses for control of servers and client operating environments using solutions System Center and Data Protection Manager. In addition to them, delivery of software products Project Visual Studio Skype for Business , etc. is necessary.

All licenses should be transferred till January 1, 2018.

In 2017 there were some of very large acquisitions of software solutions of Microsoft. In the fall Sberbank carried out purchase of products of this American corporation almost for 4 billion rubles. In March, 2017 the Bank of Russia summed up the results of purchase of licenses of Microsoft for 3.35 billion rubles. In January of the same year more than 146 thousand licenses of Microsoft for 1.62 billion rubles became known of acquisition by VTB 24 bank.

In 2016 purchase over 220 thousand licenses of the American corporation for a period of 3 years carried out Rosseti. Delivery cost then exceeded 2 billion rubles, and the collective participant as a part of companies "Softline Trade" (leader) and Lanit became the winner. For 1.777 billion rubles of the solution of Microsoft bought Rosatom. As the supplier the Croc company, the delivery period - acted 3 years.
