Honda 3E Empower, Experience, Empathy

The Japanese company Honda officially presented devices from a line of robots assistants 3E at the CES 2018 exhibition in Las Vegas[1]. In addition the company also showed a concept of the figurative Mobile Power Pack charger capable to load even the small electric vehicle. In detail developments it is announced on the official site[2].

At the end of 2017 Honda showed the preview of a line of the robots assistants 3E (Empower, Experience, Empathy). Still details about their work were not: the company promised to show them in operation and to give the details at the CES exhibition which annually takes place at the beginning of January. Now representatives of the company told about robots in more detail.

Empatichny robot 3E-A18 is created for communication with people: the company is going to use it as the robot assistant, for example, in shops and the airports. The robot is able to distinguish human emotions and to react to them using clear expressions of "person", thereby providing communication, comfortable for the interlocutor person. Besides, the external framework 3E-A18 is made of material flexible and pleasant by feel: according to developers, it is made in order that the robot could be embraced.

Model 3E-D18 represents the small ATV which can be used both in the house, and on the street: the robot can overcome any obstacles and is equipped with cameras which help it to move without the aid of the person. It is possible to attach the most different devices to the body of the robot (for example, a ladle), it is possible to use 3E-D18 in the most different types of activity: from the help in agriculture before shopping.

The robotic wheelchair 3E-B18 is compact and can turn on small radius: using it it can pass in narrow spaces. Also, as well as 3E-D18, the chair can be used and indoors, and on the street.

Latest model, 3E-C18, the automatic robot assistant intended for transportation of goods was provided in October. Equipped with technologies of computer vision, the robot, according to developers, can understand what from him is required and to execute it independently: for example, to open a cover of a cargo compartment when approach it.
