"Yandex. Education", the joint venture of "Yandex" and "Education Publishing House", in April, 2018 submitted the educational platform for schools. With its help pupils can perform tasks online and at once to see the progress, and the teacher – to monitor progress of each child.

Teachers and school students in hundred classes already work with this platform. Schools from the different cities of Russia participate in the project. On the platform since the beginning of year well more than 16 thousand tasks on mathematics for 2–4 classes, were added a task on Russian to them recently. Now the platform works in the test mode and before its end it will be provided free of charge.

The platform allows to give tasks to all class or certain pupils. Exercises are checked automatically – thanks to it the teacher has more time for individual work. After pupils perform tasks, the teacher can study statistics on a class and see the broad picture for each pupil: what is the time the child spent for this or that task what way went where made mistakes.

In the long term the platform will help to increase individual results of school students. Here technologies of "Yandex" in the field of processing of Big Data will be useful. The analysis of statistics which is collected by the platform will help to reveal the subjects, most difficult for children, to predict progress of school students and to build individual educational trajectories.

How it works

On the platform the teacher can give a task to one pupil or all class. Automatic check of task performance by a system saves time to the teacher in this connection he can pay more attention to pupils individually. If the task is given to the whole class, the platform will show statistics on all group. The teacher will see which of pupils what is the time spent for this or that task what methods of the solution they preferred and where introduced errors were each of them.

Authors of the project consider that in the long term the platform will help to increase the level of progress of the school students working with it. Solutions of "Yandex" in the field of processing of Big Data can be for this purpose used. Analyzing statistics collected by the platform, it will be possible to reveal the subjects, most difficult for school students, to create for them individual educational plans and to predict progress.

Use scale

Meanwhile the platform functions in the test mode from which to an exit its use will be free. Nearly 3 thousand school students from 100 classes of the different schools which are in Yekaterinburg, Pervouralsk, Tyumen, St. Petersburg, Moscow and other cities already work with it

The mathematics — since the beginning of the current year in a system well to more than 16 thousand tasks from this sphere became the first subject provided on the platform. Tasks are expected level 2-4 classes. Later on the platform also tasks on Russian appeared.
