Biography

Dmitry Vladimirovich Tarasov was born in 1963 in the city of Alma-Ata^[1].

In 1985 graduated from the Moscow institute of steel and alloys.

In 1990 completed postgraduate studies at MISIS on specialization "Processing of ores and scatterings of rare and noble metals".

Candidate of Technical Sciences.

From 1985 to 1992 worked at different positions of the gold mining enterprises of Head department of diamond and gold mining at Council of Ministers of the USSR Glavalmazzoloto of the USSR.

1992 - 1999 - vice rector for investment work and capital construction of National University of Science and Technology.

From 1999 to 2001 - the adviser to the head of Public foundation for formation of precious metals and gemstones of the Russian Federation in the rank of the Deputy manager (Gokhran of Russia).

From 2001 to 2002 - the deputy manager of the Agency on attraction of the foreign investments at the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation.

Since 2002 - the director of strategic development of Gazmetallproyekt LLC.

Since 2002 - the deputy CEO of JSC Oskol Electric Steel Works (OEMK).

From 2002 to 2007 was a part of members of Expert Advice on metallurgy and mining of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Coordination Council on mining and metallurgical complex at the Russian President Administration; vice-chairman of committee on metallurgy of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; Board member of the Union of exporters of metal products of the Russian Federation.

Since 2004 - the deputy CEO of Gazmetallproyekt LLC for commerce and industry policy.

Since 2004 - the director of strategy and perspective development of OEMK.

In 2005 it is appointed to a position of the chief executive of Metalloinvest Ltd.

From 2011 to 2014 was the board member of Mikhailovsky GOK LLC.

In 2014 became the board member of Baikal Mining Company LLC.

From 2016 to 2017 worked as the director of Ukrainian Ore and Metallurgical Company LLC.

For May 13, 2018 Dmitry Vladimirovich Tarasov works as the chief executive of UKS Metalloinvest LLC, the board member Metalloinvest^[2].
