2018: Start of service

In June, 2018 Huawei provided the cloud service of Cloud PC allowing to start Windows 10 on the smartphone. And affirms that all functions of the computer operating system as data processing is performed not in phone, and on a remote server are available to users of mobile devices.

At the heart of the service announced at the CES Asia 2018 exhibition the cloud virtual machine and the proprietary remote desktop protocol HDP (Huawei Desktop Protocol) which allow Windows 10 to address the file system of the smartphone lie. Thus, users will be able to work in the mode of remote access to Windows 10 with files which are stored in memory of phone. The gadget can be connected to the PC monitor and to actually involve it as the full-fledged computer on "ten".

Huawei started full Windows 10 on smartphones

By June 18, 2018 the Huawei Cloud PC service is already available, but only in China. It will be started also in other countries, however terms are not called. Possibly, for providing service worldwide the company will need more data centers as Huawei Cloud PC is necessary high-speed communication with the minimum delays.

At first only owners of smartphones Huawei P20/P20 Pro Mate 10, Mate RS and also the tablet can use Huawei Cloud PC MediaPad M5.

Huawei — the nonunique smartphone manufacturer who aimed to start computer OS in mobile devices. Earlier similar functionality was implemented in  the Elite x3 HP phone  on Windows 10 Mobile thanks to  HP Workspace technology which  simplifies providing business applications to users of mobile devices using virtualization.[1]
