History
1997
In 1997 the university received the status of the university and was renamed into the Tomsk State Architectural and Construction University (TSACU).
1993
In 1993 TISI was renamed into the Tomsk State Architectural and Construction Academy (TSACA).
1952-1953
The "Tomsk State Architectural and Construction University" educational institution reckons the history since 1952 when to base of the Tomsk Polytechnic of the Ministry of procurements of the USSR the decision of the government creates university again — the Tomsk institute on training of engineers on construction of elevators. In 1953 the order of the Minister of Culture of the USSR the institute received the status of the Tomsk Construction Institute (TCI).
1943
In 1943 the technical school is renamed into the Tomsk polytechnic (the 2nd formation).
1939
Again according to the decision of the government in 1939 the university will be relocated back to Moscow, and its premises are given for the Tomsk flour-grinding and elevator technical school (the 2nd formation).
1931
One of them — the Tomsk flour-grinding and elevator technical school (training of specialists technicians and foremen for construction of elevators in Siberia) which was located in buildings at Solyanoy Square. However according to the order of the government of the country, the next year (1931) the technical school will be reorganized into university — the platform and premises of technical school are transferred under the Flour-grinding and elevator institute relocated from Moscow to Tomsk. Along with "the red body" under it also the adjoining building — the former organization of prison and investigative appointment of NKVD is selected. It is rebuilt under the additional academic building of the created university.
1923-1930
For a raising of prestige of ssuz, in 1923, within reform of a tekhnikumization of the country, according to the personal order of the people's commissar A. Lunacharsky, the educational institute is reorganized into the First Siberian Polytechnical Technical school of a name of companion K.A. Timiryazev. In the conditions of industrialization in 1930 there is a need of the fastest increase in number of technical schools and the Tomsk Polytechnic is urgently split up for tens of Tomsk technical schools, the Polytechnic is disbanded.
1901-1904
The history of university ascends by 1901 when in Tomsk the First Siberian Commercial School for which in 1904, efforts of the Tomsk merchants patrons and the city authorities, build the special building which is nowadays the 2nd TGASU ("Red") body was created. The building is built with the assistance of the famous architect K.K. Lygin.
