On August 28, 2018, the Russian developer EveryTag and Ricoh Corporation, a manufacturer of printing equipment and software, became strategic partners and announced the creation of a joint Ricoh Leaks Detection Pack solution to protect hard copy documents. In the event of a leak, the software package allows you to determine which of the employees has become a deliberate or involuntary source of compromise of the document.
Ricoh Leaks Detection Pack, developed on the basis of Ricoh StreamLine NX and the ILD system from EveryTag, combines the functions of storing confidential documents, creating personalized copies and ensures their safe printing in person to the recipient on MFP Ricoh. Changes are made to each printed copy that are not noticeable to the human eye. At the same time, the patented transformation algorithm allows you to determine with maximum accuracy who each specific instance was created for, the developers noted.
StreamLine NX is the platform behind Ricoh's secure printing and document flow management solutions. The Information Leaks Detection (ILD) system, developed by EveryTag, allows you to control the movement of documents, both on paper and their electronic images (for example, photographed from a monitor screen).
"In 2018, the topic of confidential information leaks became even more relevant. According to the June report of Infowatch, employees of companies most often become the culprits, and if in the world personnel account for just over 50% of leaks, then in Russia this figure is even higher - 69.3%. In total, paper documents still account for more than a third of leaks in our country (only 8.2% worldwide). " |
The joint solution "EveryTag" and Ricoh is available in test operation mode, its commercial release will take place in the fall of 2018.
