RFID tags of Mikron for safe data transmission about goods

On November 16, 2018 the Digital Transformation Group (DTG) company, integrator of digital ecosystems as a part of LANIT group, and Mikron, producer and the exporter of microelectronics in Russia, announced start of technology partnership. Within the cooperation aimed at the development of the Tracelabel blockchain platform, Mikron will deliver RFID tags for identification, authentication and safe data transmission about goods. The company will also give technology support in issues of integration of RFID technologies into developments of DTG — tracking of a goods lifecycle and supply chain management.

In the course of preparation of pilot start Tracelabel "Mikron" delivered a batch of RFID tags for marking of alcoholic products of a premium class. Labels contain information on goods and producer, they help to keep in a feedback with the buyer — all this protects a brand from counterfeit, falsification and fraud and also provides accuracy of the information at all stages, emphasized in Micron.

The Tracelabel platform integrates all participants of process of delivery and consumption of goods to a uniform ecosystem. It provides "a uniform source of the truth" — complete and reliable information about origin and the movement of goods from the producer to the end consumer.

The RFID technology was tested by the customer of Tracelabel, the Swiss company Vintage Wines SA. In the future tags of Mikron can be also used for RFID marking of pharmaceutical products, jewelry, objects of art and other groups of the goods needing protection against counterfeits, strict observance of storage conditions and confirmation of authenticity.

Considerable experience in the field of RFID developments and active assistance of specialists of Mikron helped DTG to solve in short terms a problem of goods marking when developing Tracelabel. Use of RFID technology will allow to guarantee operational delivery to our platform of reliable data about location of goods, and to the consumer — to obtain information on originality of goods origin directly at the time of purchase — Denis Reymer, the vice president for digital transformation of LANIT group, the head of DTG emphasized.

In a blockchain systems data protection and safety of transactions are a fundamental factor, and use of RFID marking allows to control process at all stages, to see sources of data on origin and properties of goods and to trace any parameters — the CEO of Mikron Gulnara Hasyanova noted. — RFID tags provide joining of the physical and digital worlds more precisely and more reliably than other analogs that does them irreplaceable in problems of digitalization. Together with DTG we will be glad to develop the Tracelabel platform in which we see one of top technologies for retail.

Submission of the pilot version of the Tracelabel blockchain platform

On September 26, 2018 LANIT Group announced that Digital Transformation Group started the pilot version of the Tracelabel platform intended for tracking of a goods lifecycle and supply chain management.

Tracelabel is a universal applied system. It can be used for tracking of any goods both at a specific stage, and during all lifecycle. Development is based on the IoT technologies and a blockchain allowing to digitize reliably supply chains of goods and to integrate data of participants of network in a single source of truth. Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technologies are applied to identification, authentication and safe data transmission about goods.

Main advantage of Tracelabel - a possibility of use of data of the platform both for supply chain management, and for marketing and the personalized communications with consumers. Consolidation of participants of a supply chain in a uniform ecosystem allows to reduce costs and to increase the speed of passing of information and financial flows. The platform core connected with tracking of lifecycle allows to receive in real time analytical reports about goods and to interact with consumers.

Application of a system can be effective for the FMCG direction, producers of alcoholic products, pharmaceutical medicines, luxury goods and other goods for which tracking of originality of origin, the scheme of deliveries, storage conditions and transportation is crucial.

Tracelabel is developed by request of the Swiss company Vintage Wines SA. which specializes in consulting in the field of protection of intellectual property in the wine market, optimization of distribution and maintenance of investments into rare wines. DTG is responsible in the project for technology development and provides promotion of the platform in the territory of Russia.
