2018: Acquisition by Tsifra company

The Tsifra company announced on September 27, 2018 acquisition of a startup of Theta Data Solutions. This transaction, along with hiring of the employees participating in the largest Russian projects in the field of industrial AI is designed to strengthen the Digits direction on artificial intelligence.

Despite rather short term of the existence (since April, 2017), Theta was succeeded to implement more than 20 projects in the industry for big customers. In particular, in the oil and gas industry the project of optimization of logistics of oil products is developed for Gazprom Neft, the system of predictive digital models for optimization of compoundings and ensuring quality of products is created, the solution on optimization of mechanical raising of oil from the well is implemented. One more significant project — creation of the platform for management of transport and logistic Big Data. Total amount of the contracts executed by Theta Data Solutions company for September, 2018 exceeds 30 million rubles.

"Digit" entered the market of industrial AI at the beginning of 2018.

The market of systems on the basis of AI in Russia reaches 20 billion rubles, and economic effect of their use in the industry can be up to 200 billion rubles. Everything, according to the company, 13 people joined Digit: specialists in the field of data science, a business intelligence, industrial experts. Among them — Konstantin Gorbach who was earlier holding a position of the sales director of Yandex Data Factory. In Digit Konstantin Gorbach is appointed to the position of the director of the department of intellectual applications. Also Dmitry Lukovkin, one of founders of an online service of StocksNeural.net using deep machine learning (Deep Learning) for the analysis and forecasting of financial time series joined the company. In Digit Dmitry Lukovkin will help to provide a transfer of technologies of "a first line of AI" in practice of the company.

In Digit again created command will be engaged in development of the AI platform for management and optimization of production processes and also will be connected to the Digital Plant project with PJSC Gazprom Neft which will become a part of creation of the Russia's first digital platform for process management of logistics, oil processing and sale of oil products.

Theta Data Solutions was founded in April, 2017 by natives of CROC, Yandex and Home Credit Bank. The company specialized in creation, implementation and support of analytical solutions in the field of forecasting and optimization of technology processes, simulation modeling, storage and processing of Big Data.
