In "National library of the Republic of Dagestan of R. Gamzatov" complexes of planetary scanning of ELARSKAN appeared

On October 3, 2018 "ELAR" reported that in National library of the Republic of Dagestan of R. Gamzatov complexes of planetary scanning of A1 and A2 of formats appeared: ELARSKAN A1 and ELARSKAN of A2-400KC. Complexes of a professional equipment it will be used for digitization of book funds.

The library continues to fill the electronic fund consisting of books, the periodical press and documents devoted to the history of mastering, studying and development of Dagestan, achievements of the famous inhabitants of the region. For digitization the specialized scanning equipment as it completely answer requests of library was purchased: A1 format provides a possibility of scanning of documents of a big format, existence of a V-shaped cradle allows to digitize books and documents which complete disclosure is impossible, and the lack of harmful infrared radiations promotes careful digitization of originals.

One of priority problems of the state cultural policy is use of digital technologies, including — for ensuring access of citizens to cultural values irrespective of the place of residence. Earlier rare books could be studied only in the reading room of library that limited access for users to research base. Now electronic copies of books, magazines and documents from funds of library became available to readers from any place in the world.
