Content

Inspection and inspection complexes (IDCs) of the ST-series are designed for customs, border and other types of control and are a highly effective means of detecting undeclared goods or illegal investments, for example, explosives and narcotic substances, weapons and ammunition.

IDC is a completely domestic development of Scantronic Systems and specialists from the Laboratory of Electronic Accelerators of Moscow State University.

As of October 2018, the ST-series includes the following complexes:

  • Inspection and inspection complex of ST-6035 based on linear electron accelerator is designed for quick and efficient inspection of cargoes, vehicles and containers.

  • The inspection and inspection complex ST-2630T based on an electron accelerator is designed to inspect goods transported by rail, as well as rolling stock. The complex is designed for use in various climatic conditions.
  • The inspection and inspection complex ST-2640 is a system for monitoring goods transported in vehicles in order to identify prohibited investments, such as: weapons, ammunition, explosives and narcotic substances, fissile materials. The operation of the complex is based on the use of high-energy braking radiation with high penetrating capacity during scanning, which allows obtaining on the monitor screen a high-quality radioscopic image of controlled vehicles and transported goods and goods, including building materials. The complex allows you to inspect all cargo transported in cars and trucks (regardless of packing density).
  • The inspection and inspection complex ST-2630L is a system for monitoring goods transported in vehicles. The complex allows you to inspect all cargo transported in cars and trucks (regardless of packing density).
  • The inspection and inspection complex ST-2630K is a relocated conveyor inspection and inspection complex for the control of passenger vehicles and minibuses.
  • The inspection and inspection complex ST-2630M is a mobile inspection and inspection complex for the control of vehicles and containers.

2023: Deliveries of complexes to the Russian Federation and abroad for 5.5 billion rubles

Included in Rostec companies "Scantronic Systems" and "Toriy" in 2023 signed contracts for the supply of inspection and inspection complexes (IDC) in the amount of more than 5.5 billion rubles. The press service of the state corporation announced this on March 6, 2024.

The bulk of equipment sales fell on Russian customers. As for foreign projects, deliveries were carried out to Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar. In total, by the end of 2023, more than 30 IDCs of various types were used at checkpoints across the state border of Russia and at transport infrastructure facilities, including mobile, stationary and portal inspection and inspection complexes (allow you to inspect vehicles in motion, without stopping them). At the same time, in 2021, state contracts were concluded for the supply of only three systems. In 2024, it is planned to deliver another 12-17 units, said Alexander Popov, director-at-large of Rostec.

According to the developers, mobile and stationary inspection complexes allow scanning up to 25 cars per hour, portal systems - up to 120 cars. Stationary railway complexes are able to automatically "see" undeclared cargo in cars or containers that move at speeds up to 70 km/h.

With the help of IDS, X-ray images of vehicles with cargo transported in them are displayed in a few minutes. The equipment even detects small caches and hidden tabs in a cargo weighing tens of tons. The complex "sees" through steel up to 40 cm thick and not only gives a high-quality radioscopic image of the content, but recognizes objects by the composition of the substance. He can point out exactly what they are trying to transport: drugs, explosives, ammunition or other prohibited goods, Rostec said in a statement[1]

2021: Start using X-ray trucks to identify prohibited cargoes in cars and trains

March 30, 2021 Rostec"" spoke about the first Russian inspection and inspection complexes (IDCs) developed by the holding included in the state corporation Roselectronics"." They literally "see" the cargo through the walls and are able to detect prohibited goods of any size.

IDMs allow you to receive their X-ray images with the goods transported in them in a few minutes without opening the cargo rooms of vehicles. Inspection equipment detects, among other things, small caches and hidden tabs in a cargo weighing tens of tons. At the same time, railway transport does not need to be stopped - wagons can be inspected in traffic at speeds up to 70 km/h, which accelerates the border control process.

In Russia, trucks with X-rays began to be used to identify prohibited goods in cars and trains

According to the developers, the complex "sees" through steel up to 32 cm thick, while recognizing objects by the composition of the substance (drugs, explosives, smuggled trepang, etc.). IDK also has the function of remotely assessing the weight of the entire commodity batch or part of it with an error of no more than 10%, the press service of Rostec notes.

Mobile complexes can be quickly deployed anywhere. The algorithm of the system is able to automatically "subtract" the walls of the container in order to exclude the possibility of "bookmarks" in the metal case.

Roselectronics has installed such IDCs to inspect trains in Zabaikalsk, the largest railway checkpoint on the border with China. It accounts for more than half of all transportation from Russia to China and back.

In accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, Roselectronics was determined by the sole executor of the state contract with FGKU Rosgranstroy for equipment with railway IDK checkpoints "Pogranichny" and "Nizhneleninskoye" through the Russian-Chinese border. Inspection and inspection complexes of the holding are also installed on the border with Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan with China.[2]
