Xerox Workplace Suite is a packet of tools for data protection, interaction with smartphones and expense control on printing.

On October 16, 2018 the Xerox company provided a packet of the Xerox Workplace Suite tools. According to the company, Xerox Workplace Suite is intended for installation on the server of the enterprise and contains tools for management of printing and contact with mobile devices. In many cases this solution is the optimal choice for corporate users of printers and the MFP. It provides support of all widespread mobile platforms without damage to convenience, security and availability.

Along with function of printing from the mobile device, Xerox Workplace Suite has two tools of security intended for data protection and access control to printers and the MFP:

• Content Security strengthens a security system and protects intellectual property, performing monitoring of all content which is printed, copied and scanned in the local area network. This solution provides the additional level of data protection in the organizations, automatically notifying owners of content or system administrators if there is printing or transfer of confidential information.

• Mobile Phone Unlock increases convenience and profitability of work, allowing authentication to pass and unblock possibilities of printing devices Xerox AltaLink and Xerox VersaLink from the mobile phone. Thanks to this function it is not required to buy ID cards and to install readers on devices. Instead authentication happens to the help of the modules which are built in printing devices NFC and applications Xerox Print Portal set on smartphones of users. It is possible to become authorized also by scanning QR codes from the screen of printers and the Xerox MFP what the majority of mobile phones is suitable for.

Additional opportunities of Xerox Workplace Suite:

• the panel of reports helps to obtain more information on use of devices and amount of costs, collecting in one place statistics about network printing for the analysis and monitoring;
