According to the message of November 16, 2018 of Alpha Acid Brewing Company, the small American craft brewery from California, included in the production process technologies of a blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT – Internet of Things) by means of cloud services of Oracle: IoT Cloud Service and Blockchain Cloud Service.

Oracle provided to the company the tools helping to monitor the movement of raw materials at any stage, to control its quality and origin; analyze the reasons of failures and take adequate measures on their elimination.

Besides, in the company a feedback with consumers is established: clients of Alpha Acid can leave comments about products which are weekly turned out by brewery, by means of the application developed by Oracle. The company, thus, understands what combinations of ingredients have success and to take them as a basis for the released sorts.

The blockchain technology of the digital register allowing participants to add and browse blocks of records of transactions at the same time guaranteeing that any their change or removal will be revealed. Suppliers of hop, malt and yeast for Alpha Acid are registered in Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service where they describe parts of each process step of processing of raw materials: dates of harvesting and weather conditions before malting of barley. These data are available to brewers and fans of beer. The last can scan the QR code in the menu of brewery or on banks of a limited series and be convinced of origin and quality of ingredients.
