Otkritie Bank launched QR codes at ATMs

2021: QR Code ATM Launch

Otkritie Bank launched payment using QR codes in ATMs. This was announced by EKassir on September 30, 2021.

The project is implemented on the basis of the EKassir ATM Web Host solution.

It is enough for the client to check in on the card at the ATM, choose from the menu to pay for the necessary QR services available and bring the code printed on the receipt to the reader. QR code payment is also available for cash settlements.

The system scans the data contained in the QR code and displays on the ATM screen a list of services available for payment, from which the client will choose the desired one. You do not need to enter payment details manually: they will automatically be substituted into the payment form based on the read data of the QR code. The customer only needs to enter the payment amount and confirm the transaction. After payment, the ATM will print the check. If the QR code is not recognized or the required service is not encoded, the customer can manually enter the missing details.

Paying for affordable government or utility services using a QR code at an ATM, customers avoid queues at the cash desk and save time, and the bank reduces the burden on branch cashiers.

'eKassir ATM Web Host' is a solution for expanding functionality and implementing a modern interface on ATM, which does not require replacing the control software on the device. The solution works at ATMs manufactured by NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, OKI, Hyosung, GRG. and is supported in the control software of all leading vendors.

2018: Launch of ATM payment acceptance functionality

On November 26, 2018, eKassir announced that together with Otkritie Bank they had completed a joint project to launch a functionality for accepting payments on the ATM network. By implementing the ATM Web Host solution, the Bank was able to expand the service capabilities of the devices, unload cash desks and optimize the costs of servicing the ATM network.

The implementation of additional functionality did not require replacing or updating the management software on the devices. During the project, eKassir specialists integrated the ATM Web Host solution with OpenWay and ABS processing, set up payment acceptance scenarios for ATMs with touch screen and FDK.

Otkritie Bank uses the Payments Hub solution to accept payments at cash desks, Otkritie Online Internet Bank and a mobile application. As part of the project to introduce ATM Web Host, most of the services established in the payment hub became available in the ATM network. Bank specialists independently administer the implemented system, configure the availability of services on devices and commissions.

The next stage of development will be the possibility of creating a personal account, which will allow customers to gain access to information about banking products and event tape through ATMs, as well as repeat previously performed operations on ATM.
