Open Mobile Platform: The tablet based on Sailfish Mobile OS Rus

2018: Demonstration of a prototype of the tablet based on the Russian processor

The company "Open Mobile Platform" (OMP) showed on December 9, 2018 a prototype tablet with operating system Sailfish Mobile OS Rus based on processor Multikor 1892VM14YA of the research and production center Elvis.

The prototype is implemented on the processor module Salute-EL24PM. This platform is already available to the order and can be used by developers of devices with the Sailfish operating system. According to representatives of OMP, the Salute-EL24PM allows to simplify development of devices based on processor 1892VM14Ya, provides the ready-made hardware solution for creation of the entrusted devices: means of communication, navigation, terminals, panel computers, devices of data protection, display, management systems, industrial controllers, thin clients, tablets.

In turn, processor 1892VM14Ya of the Multikor series is the system on a crystal including two DSP of a core of ELcore-30M, two CPU ARM Cortex- A9 codec H.264, graphic 3D - Mali-300 accelerator, the navigation correlator GLONASSGPS//Beidou and the built-in input/output ports. The processor is manufactured on technology of 40 nanometers and is the Russian a chip of the second level on classification Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At last, Sailfish Mobile OS Rus under control of which the provided prototype works is the protected OS which mechanisms of protection are built in not only operating system kernel, but also all principal components. Due protection of a system is reached including by means of:

• Control of integrity of the file system
• Control of integrity of the loader
• Complete blocking of the device, without a possibility of unblocking, at violation of integrity of the file system or the loader
• Restrictions of the rights of the user according to corporate security policies both at the level of OS, and using management systems of MDM
• Prohibition on the software installation (independently the user) from not entrusted sources

For December, 2018 Sailfish Mobile OS RUS is the only mobile operating system included in the register of the Russian programs and which underwent certification of FSB on class AK1/KC1, claim in "the Open Mobile Platform".
