According to Interfax, the initial price of a three-year contract was 1.7 billion rubles. Two companies took part in the auction, one of them offered a price of 948.3 million rubles, but its application was rejected, since it did not meet the requirements. According to Kommersant, VTB fought for a new contract between the Moscow Metro and Sberbank. Among the tasks that VTB will do as part of the project is to organize payment acceptance using various payment services, including Face Pay, as well as using the SBP (Fast Payment Systems). At the same time, there is no talk of accepting payments using the SBPei service on turnstiles, but the contract has a reservation that the list of tasks can be supplemented, the publication notes.

{{quote 'author = comments Anton Shigapov, Director of Digital Payments Development in Russia, Mastercard|Mastercard was the first not only to demonstrate contactless technology in Russia, but also began to introduce it in Russian transport, in Moscow and other cities. It is with Mastercard that the story of the appearance of cashless payment in the Moscow Metro is connected, when the first project was implemented in 2013 - then the cards made it possible to buy a ticket in ticket machines, and a few years later contactless card payment technology appeared on turnstiles. We are very glad that together with the Metropolitan and VTB Bank we give passengers the opportunity to quickly and easily pay for travel right on the turnstile as they are comfortable.
