Intersection. The scanner in phone - mobile application for independent purchases according to the scenario Self Scan.

2019: Release

On January 28, 2019 the retail chain stores Intersection announced release of mobile application for independent purchases according to the scenario Self Scan.

According to the company, the application received the name "the Intersection. The scanner in phone", it is available in AppStore and on Google Play. Its basic function – to give to all users of smartphones the chance to independently collect a basket and to pay off at the checkout.

At installation of the application it will be required to specify these cards of loyalty of Intersection. On an input in supermarket it is necessary to consider the QR code, then to scan barcodes of goods, to pass on cash desk of self-service, to consider its code then the check will be available for payment. Thus, the "mobile" buyer will not depend on loading of cashiers and also will be able independently to control structure and the amount of purchase.

Since the end of 2018 the Self Scan service is available in six Moscow Intersections: on st. the Olympic village, 3 of building 1; Ramenki St., 3; Garibaldi St., 23; on Vernadsky Ave, 86A; Kutuzovsky Ave 57 of vl. 3 and Festivalnaya St., 2B.

Earlier the Self Scan service was available only in Intersection on the street the Olympic village. Still buyers could scan goods using a portable device and then pay off by the QR code at the checkout. Experience of this supermarket showed that the Self Scan service is popular, and the check at self-service is 77% higher than the average check of shop.
