Customers: MegaFon

Moscow; Telecommunications and Communications

Product: Mobile App

Project date: 2018/10  - 2019/03

On April 8, 2019, Smart Engines announced that together with MegaFon and Nexign they launched the mobile application "Consultant's Workplace with a Tablet" with Smart IDReader document recognition technology in the MegaFon cabin network. The application gives the consultant in the room the opportunity to quickly help the client and quickly issue a SIM card using a tablet, in the same way as in the areas of design and sales equipped with stationary equipment.

The creation of this application was done by Nexign.

The developed mobile application is integrated into MegaFon's BSS loop. To enter the client's data, the consultant needs to recognize the client's passport data in a few seconds using a tablet camera. The mobile application enters data into the CRM system automatically and very quickly, is able to recognize both passports of citizens of the Russian Federation and certifying documents of foreign citizens.

The process is secure and allows you to keep all personal data safe, since all calculations are performed autonomously on a tablet without transferring images for processing to external information systems.

Such projects require a comprehensive approach and broad competencies from developers, as they imply not only a deep integration of mobile and server platforms, but also the integration of third-party libraries. It is important to note that when interacting with telecom operators, it is necessary to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the law when working with these subscribers, "said Mikhail Matyushin, head of the MegaFon project implementation department at Nexign.

With the development of our recognition technology, we set the task so that the automatic extraction of data even of such a complex, from the point of view of computer view, document as a passport of the Russian Federation in a video stream takes less than 1 second. During this time, our algorithms must successfully process several frames and show the user a successful recognition result, "said Vladimir Arlazarov, CEO of Smart Engines.
