On April 9, 2019 the company Xerox reported that St. Petersburg the branch NIU "Higher School of Economics" (HSE) upgraded printing infrastructure and made it more convenient and safe using the platform Xerox ConnectKey and other technologies of Xerox.

According to the company, in a complex with software solutions of the HSE installed the MFP based on Xerox ConnectKey technology which turns these devices into business assistants. Thanks to it students and the staff of university can use quicker and more simply services of printing, copying and scanning now. Earlier St. Petersburg branch HSE could not provide quickly these services because of a lack of public corridor MFPs. After project implementation printing amount on devices of this type increased by 50%, and the average time of document handling was reduced twice. Also the university added support of mobile printing that allowed students and employees to send documents to the MFP from any device and from any point of branch.

Project implementation provides development of educational and social infrastructure at our university. These solutions will allow to satisfy quickly all needs of students, teachers and research associates for printing, copying and scanning of documents.

In the St. Petersburg branch HSE the following solutions of Xerox were integrated:

Thanks to opportunities of the MFP of the Xerox AltaLink family the updated printing infrastructure not only increases convenience of work with documents, but also meets high standards of data protection. The built-in software solutions automatically trace whether there correspond devices to security policies, reveal unauthorized changes of settings and help the system administrator to prevent incidents in time.

Organization began to use solutions of Xerox in 2015 and when they showed the efficiency, approved the plan of further development of printing infrastructure. In the long term the project should cover all academic buildings and hostels of branch.

Based on solutions of Xerox we could create modern public printing infrastructure in the St. Petersburg branch Higher School of Economics National Research University, changing the user experience of employees and students. The updated infrastructure increases convenience of work with documents, completely answers security policies of the university and has high potential for further development.
