The winner of competition on delivery of the server hardware and its installation is defined

On June 17, 2019 the winner of competition in whom the right to delivery for RUSSIAN RAILWAY server the equipment and execution of works on its installation was played was defined. The company LANIT-Integration — child structure "Lanita", with the price offer of 2.17 billion rubles at the initial cost of the contract in 2.19 billion rubles became it.

One more company which name does not reveal in the documents posted on the website of state procurements took part in biddings. However its request got lower points by all set parameters. Its price offer was estimated at 69.65 points against 70 at Lanit integration, and experience in 2.16 points against 30 at the winner.

Under the terms of the contract "daughter" Lanita till September 25, 2019 should deliver and install "iron" in Major computer center of the Russian Railway in Moscow on Kalanchevskaya Street and in its structural division on Krasnoprudnaya Street and also in Russian Railway data processing centers in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Chita and Khabarovsk.

Specific vendors of ready configurations of the required server solutions were not stated in the technical project of the Russian Railway. In Lanita to tell CNews about what servers were offered the customer in the bid of its "daughter", could not.

According to the website of state procurements, within the described tender of the Russian Railway intend to get 26 modular server chassis, 13 server racks, 378 modular servers of one type and nine — the second and also two types of servers in number of 122 and 130 pieces respectively.

All servers should be based on different processors Intel. In particular, in modular servers of the first type use of two 22-core Intel Xeon Gold Skylake with clock rate not less than 2.1 GHz, in modular servers of the second type — two 4-core Intel Xeon Platinum Skylake with a frequency not lower than 3 GHz is supposed.

Should be installed in normal servers of the first type on two 8-core Intel Xeon Silver Skylake with a frequency not less than 2.1 GHz, the second type — two 18-core Intel Xeon Gold Skylake with a frequency not lower than 2.3 GHz.[1]

Tender for delivery of the server hardware and its installation

On April 30, 2019 the Russian Railway announced the tender for delivery of the server hardware and execution of works for its installation. The starting price of the agreement is nearly 2.2 billion rubles.[2]

It is required to the customer several types of servers, the chassis and server racks. Only 678 items of equipment, from them 639 servers.

Specific names for deliverable "iron" in documentation are not specified. However in terms of reference it is mentioned that servers should be equipped with Intel processors, including the 22nd and 18-core Intel Xeon Gold Skylake, 4-core Xeon Platinum Skylake and 8-core Xeon Silver Skylake.

In addition to supply of equipment from the contractor of the project complete assembly, installation of internal components and modules according to specifications is required. Placement of the equipment in telecommunication racks, laying of cables is also necessary for connection of components and connection with networks of the customer. Besides, the contractor will have to set and configure the software (patches, drivers, managing software), to configure logical relationships of the equipment and communication interfaces.

Supply of equipment and accomplishment of all works should be performed no later than September 25, 2019. Guarantee period of normal and smooth operation of all "iron" should be not less than 60 months. At the same time the contractor of the project should have a possibility of implementation of warranty repair.

Summing up the tender is planned for June 13, 2019.
