On May 13, 2019 the ASCON company announced start in commercial operation of a management system for the project documentation of Pilot-ICE in the Stroytekproyekt company specializing in complex architectural and construction design of residential and public buildings on BIM technology. The implementation project performed the Regional center ASCON Urals.
The organization of BIM department became the first stage in mastering of BIM technologies in the company. Its creation was promoted by the solution of one of key customers Stroytekproyekt — Managements of capital construction of Yekaterinburg which entered the so-called BIM mandate. According to it, design of municipal objects in the city should be performed using BIM technologies.
Formation of department took about a year. During this time in the company trained all specialists involved in design, rebuilt business processes, configured templates, acquired base of the Autodesk Revit families and began to apply technology of information modeling fully.
Together with start of BIM department in the company there was a need for systematization of document storage and files through system implementation of electronic document management. The solution was required as in Stroytekproyekt there were no uniform regulations of centralized operation by projects and employees, there were problems in long and repeated approval of documentation, confusion with a versioning of files, difficulties in control of execution of tasks and in formation of sets of the project and work documentation (PD and RD, respectively) for customers. Besides, separate storage of PD and RD in workplaces considerably complicated search of up-to-date information in projects.
After consideration of several solutions in the market of EDMS the company stopped the choice on the Pilot-ICE system. The suitable cost and existence of first technical support from ASCON became key factors for benefit of this system.
Implementing solution began at the end of 2017 and six months lasted.

A system had to be built in the existing IT infrastructure for correct exchange and data management. The implementation team was faced by a task to automate printing of drawings from Revit in Pilot-ICE and to adjust exchange of attributive information. The modules "Printing From Revit" and "Binder of PDF" developed especially for Stroytekproyekt allow to receive one multisheet PDF file from several loaded XPS.
Under needs of the customer also setup of autocompletion of basic templates in Microsoft Word for documents was among additional settings of the solution: task to related department, permission to change, delivery note and outgoing letter.
As of May, 2019 in a system 80 employees Stroytekproyekt work. The solution allows designers of the company to organize the environment of the general data for collective work, operational information exchange and reduction of terms of works. Thanks to a system the admission of errors because of inconsistency of data is also excluded.

In the future Stroytekproyekt is going to implement Pilot-BIM for storage, check, the analysis and also transfer to the customer and approval of data on information models. For work planning and accounting of labor costs the company is going to begin work in the module Rubius Project Manager.
