2019: Announcement of sales

In July, 2019 it became known of the preparing sales robot FoldiMate which is intended for folding of clothes of the house and in laundries.

FoldiMate represents the device with the mobile front panel to which by means of clothespegs linen fastens. Several minutes (in 5 minutes about 25 objects are processed) later the "smart" machine issues a pile of accurately folded and flavored  clothes. Depending on the size and thickness of fabric the automatic machine contains from 10 to 25 articles of clothing and linen which develops to the sizes of 23 x 28 cm.

The folded clothes are located in the lower part of the robot from where accurate piles can be got and at once to carry in a cabinet. However, it is necessary to spread out everything on regiments nevertheless.  From other shortcomings — rather big dimensions of the equipment (70 x 60 x 125 cm) and need of manual loading of each thing separately.

FoldiMate supports laying of the majority of types of shirts, blouses or trousers — beginning from clothes for children aged from 6 years to adult products with the XXL size. Besides, the automatic machine will be able to fold towels of the standard size and a pillowcase.

In FoldiMate the conveyer belt and several robotic manipulators is used.  The machine  is equipped with the module Wi-fi for connection to the Internet. Unit weight — about 30 kg.

Sales of the robot will begin by the end of 2019. Authors of the project raised money for production of the solution by means of crowd funding. As the founder and the CEO of FoldiMate of Gals Rozov noted, "many of 350 thousand the registered admirers showed interest in investment" in the project.

The cost of the device will be about $1000. Developers promise to finish the final version of a product, including having made to reduce it the size for more convenient use in life.

As notes the ZDNet edition, the prototype of the robot was highly appreciated from visitors and organizers of the CES 2019 exhibition.[1]
