Development of the station of the satellite communication providing uninterrupted Internet access in long distance trains
On November 1, 2019 the Ruselectronics holding announced State Corporation Rostec development of the station of the satellite communication allowing to provide uninterrupted Internet access in long distance trains. Continuous contact with geostationary satellites will allow to solve a problem of lack of access to Network out of coverages of the mobile Internet. The satellite equipment allows to perform video transmission, voices and other data in real time with a speed up to 6 Mbps.
The station developed by specialists of the Moscow research institute of communication of Ruselectronics holding, less than in 30 seconds provides automatic aiming at the relay station satellite which is on a geostationary earth orbit, using data of the built-in GPS receiver. The control block continuously accompanies the satellite at the movement of the vehicle and performs immediate repeated search and capture of the satellite after signal loss, for example at journey of tunnels. The form factor of an antenna system provides a possibility of its installation practically on any land or surface vehicle: in trains, on sea vessels or cars.
Passengers of trains can use surely the Internet, only when are in borders of localities. The satellite communication system of Rostec can significantly increase comfort of distant trips. Besides, their security considerably will increase: the communication station is capable to transfer in real time to managers information on a status of the main nodes and the systems of the train and also a video information on a surrounding situation along the line. It will give the chance to timely reveal emergency situations and to react quickly to them. Oleg Yevtushenko, chief executive of Rostec |
The product is mounted on shock-absorbers for protection against vibrations and blows and also closed by the radiotransparent protective fairing ensuring functioning in difficult operating conditions. Operating temperature range of an antenna system – from-40 to +55 °C, and weight with the additional radio-frequency hardware does not exceed 60 kg. All equipment has modular construction and its structure can change according to requirements of the customer.
Representation of satellite communication to the station for work with new geostationary relay station satellites
On July 22, 2019 the Ruselectronics holding announced State Corporation Rostec development of the mobile subscriber station of satellite communication for work with new geostationary relay station satellites. The complex is intended for the organization of bilateral circuits of communication in With - or Ku-ranges with the central terrestrial station of satellite communication. It allows to ensure stabler system operation in comparison with other frequency ranges that allows to apply an antenna system on Far North. For July, 2019 the prototype of an antenna system is created, equipments are successfully tested.
The equipment can be used in the areas requiring use of satellite links with high capacity such as – warning and emergency response, telemedicine, exploration and production of oil and gas, operational collecting of news by broadcasting companies, the organization of forward translations, adjustment of an operative communication for government institutions in the conditions of the emergency reaction.
For ensuring mobility the station is placed on the vehicle. On an antenna system with a mirror from a coal plastic with a diameter of 1.8 m low-noise blocks and amplifiers converters and also the external modem are installed. The controller of targeting of a system provides automatic detection of the relay station satellite on a geostationary earth orbit, using data built in the GPS receiver and an induction compass. The hardware module providing formation of inter-chip digital links under the IP protocol, power supply, control and control of the equipment of an antenna system are placed in a cabin.
The antenna system is developed by the Moscow research institute of communication (enters into Ruselectronics).
On Far North the only way of information transfer often is the short-wave radio communication because of technical features of radio propagation in the polar environment and in the conditions of high latitudes. Our development allows to provide stable satellite communication, thanks to an opportunity for work alternately with two frequency ranges without replacement of parts of a complex and remote switching between ranges. Similar products are created for the benefit of security agencies, but all equipment has modular construction thanks to what its structure can change according to requirements of the customer and be used in the civil purposes, told Stanislav Fedotov, the CEO of JSC MNIIS
