Purpose, Functions and Components of Data Collection Cabinets

According to the company NPF Krug, the basic element of data collection cabinets (ShSD) is the industrial DevLink-C1000 controller. As of August 2019, this controller supports a wide range of open data exchange protocols, which makes it easy to integrate ShSD into almost any information and control system of the customer.

  • Remote configuration of metering devices using the standard configuration program from the manufacturer by providing direct access to it (driver-gateway)
  • Technical metering of heat and gas directly on the controller (modules "Heat metering," "Gas metering")
  • Remote restriction of the power source supply, if this functionality is supported by the metering device
  • Indication of data collected from meters and "physical" sensors "in place" using the control panel installed directly in the cabinet
  • Transfer of operational and archival data to the upper layer via both wired (Ethernet) and wireless (GSM ) communication channels, including with the possibility of 100% "hot" redundancy of communication channels
  • Transfer to the upper level and control panel for indication "in situ" of process alarm on quantitative and qualitative parameters of power resources and alarm of cabinet equipment status (self-diagnostics)
  • High-precision time synchronization of both the ShSD controller and the metering devices connected to it (if their exchange protocol allows this). Accurate time signals can be received by the controller both from any NTP available in the network, servers and from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) GPS or (GLONASS optionally, a special antenna must be connected).

Components

The data collection cabinet consists of the following main components:

  • 1. The DevLink-C1000 controller is a universal freely programmable industrial controller, which is the main element of the cabinet and provides almost all of the above functionality.
  • 2. Power supply units ~ 220V/= 24V for controller, sensor circuits and metering device interfaces
