On August 5, 2020 the Hikvision company announced two Wi-fi models of the registrar – DS-N304W and DS-N308W.

According to the company, the registrar HiWatch allows to work as Wi-fi both with wireless, and with wire cameras with the resolution up to 5 Megapixels. The DS-N304W and DS-N308W models are expected record 4 and 8 of channels respectively. The volume of the hard drive is up to 6 Tb. Data writing is kept at a speed up to 50 Mbps, and transfer – 80 Mbps. On the registrar there is two external Wi-Fi of the antenna with MIMO technology (multiple-input and multiple-output) which improves signal quality and increases a coverage. MIMO provides simultaneous transfer and data reception with separation of traffic into two channels that does system operation steadier and gives the chance of data exchange at a speed up to 150 Mbit. If necessary it is possible to connect third-party antennas to the registrar and also to use third-party repeaters.

The signal level can be checked at any time on the screen – at a window of display of video from the camera there is a signal level meter that allows to configure provision and the direction of the antenna more precisely. In case of time signal failure communication is reestablished automatically.

Wi-Fi registrars HiWatch support Beamforming technology – it allows NVR "focus" a signal on the IP camera and reduce influence of other signal sources (interference) on a system.

For access to the image the software of iVMS-4200 or mobile applications of iVMS-4500 and Hik-Connect can be used. The local monitor with the HDMI/VGA interface can be connected to the registrar.

2019: Certification of 30 complexes of mobile video surveillance on requirements of the Government of the Russian Federation

More than 30 complexes of mobile video surveillance from Hikvision company underwent obligatory certification on compliance to requirements of Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 969. Announced this Hikvision on July 23, 2019. The list of the certified equipment includes complexes of audio-video of fixing, charging and data storage.

As it appears from the document, this equipment conforms to requirements to functional properties of technical means of ensuring transport security according to three sections:

• Section V, Subparagraphs 21-31. Requirements to functional properties of technical means of video surveillance
• Section VII, Subparagraphs 41-43. Requirements to functional properties of the technical systems and means of a video
• Section VIII, Subparagraphs 44-45. Requirements to functional properties of the technical systems and means of an audio recording

Devices can be used on the following objects of transport and transport infrastructure: the subway, public transport, the railroads, the airports, sea and river ports, mobile offices for control of traffic, mobile groups of protection of law and order (as a part of structure of "The safe city") and also on other objects of the transport industry.

In addition to docking stations and wearable video recorders, certification tests in Federal State Institution of NPO STIS MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS Russia were also passed by the portable complexes of video registration intended for protection of law and order and patrol. The built-in smarts functions allow to detect persons, to perform reconciliation with black lists and bases search, to recognize automobile numbers, including in non-stationary conditions (for example, on mass actions). Analytical modules of complexes use neural network technologies based on algorithms deep learning (Deep Learning).

In total in a line of the equipment of Hikvision of nearly 500 models of surveillance cameras and video recorders received the certificate of transport security. Including cameras for internal use, thermal imaging cameras with an expanded temperature range, the equipment for operation in extreme climatic conditions, the vibration-proof equipment for installation on transport. Also certification on the 969th Resolution there underwent devices of a democratic line Hikvision with a basic set of technologies for objects of transport and transport infrastructure where the multifunction equipment is not required.
