2019: Complex upgrade of a core of an optical network of TB Cirex Jet Net
On August 5, 2019 Telecom the Exchange announced increase in cable capacitance up to 576 fibers within complex upgrade of a core of own optical network of TB Cirex Jet Net. The cable of such capacity is used by Telecom the Exchange on the ring trunk route now and forms its basis. Thanks to this modification it was succeeded to cut by half time necessary for providing optical fibers to customers. Within the Exchange Telecom project financed updating of the technical and personnel base and also strengthened control of installation works.
The Exchange continues by this step of Telecom long-term development of own network. The key being modification of network there was an optimization of its topology: instead of the sections connecting points of presence with a set of couplings the trunk ring with radial branches from which the cable using one-two couplings is completed to presence points is used. Thanks to upgrade the number of works decreased and time necessary for the organization of communication services was reduced: customers will be able to get on average twice quicker access to the rented or purchased fibers.
Except physical upgrade, the logical basis of a core of network — the equipment and software for operation, monitoring and accounting was strengthened. High cable capacitance and optimal passing of a route minimize quantity of emergency situations, and with the created monitors of network technical support of Telecom of the Exchange can respond to requests online and in addition increase reliability of provision of services. Besides, at any moment a feedback about the works which are carried out to networks is available to customers.

In the Russian market units are ready to work with 576-cabled fibers. Before laying of a cable we systemically and beforehand trained specialists in work with the new standard of capacity. In Telecom the Exchange noted that investments into a backbone network meet the growing requirements of the Russian Internet industry, electronic trading, financial and other sectors of economy.
In upgrade of network the cable designed and made by Fujikura Ltd is used. In a cable lay-up need of a continuous prekonfiguration of network (for achievement of the necessary flexibility plasticizers were added to a cover) and also other requirements developed by Telecom the Exchange for years of operation own the fiber-optic communication line is considered. For ensuring a bigger reliability in a core of network connection sleeves of the MOG type (optical city) were replaced with MTOK couplings (deadlock the optical cable).
For modification of network the company expanded own personnel resources with highly skilled specialists assemblers and operating engineers, increased technical base and carried out works without involvement of third-party contractors.
"For August, 2019 cables with a capacity of eight fibers are not used by the company, and 32-fiber are applied only on the last miles. With global upgrade of our own network TB Cirex Jet Net we decided to increase the capacity of the major sections of network to 576 fibers. Such experience in the market was not neither in production, nor in installation. As noted in Telecom the Exchange, with implementation 5G- networks, 14 billion connected IoT- devices, growth of the digital media industry, capacious and trusted fiber optic networks become a necessary condition of active market development and the whole economies. Therefore in networks of the largest world operators the standard of capacity is higher: for example, on key sections of network the American Verizon, as of August, 2019, it reaches 1728 fibers and makes at least 864 on all trunk.
"The advanced standard of capacity of the largest world operators in the technological markets of Japan and the USA — about 2000 fibers in a cable of a backbone network that many times exceeds the tanks used in Russia. Conditions of laying of fiber optic lines in the different countries differ, as well as local markets. Besides, cables of high capacity are seldom used in city networks, taking into account restrictions and difficulties in their installation and operation.
