VTB launched a mobile operator

The basic tariff plan includes 150 minutes of calls across Russia, 3 GB of Internet and 50 SMS. Its price is 200 rubles per month, but Multicard users who make purchases in the amount of 5 thousand rubles or more will be able to use this tariff for free. The maximum offered is 1000 minutes of calls and 20 GB of traffic for 700 rubles per month. Additionally, you can connect unlimited traffic for social networks, video services and instant messengers.[1]

According to the Kommersant newspaper with reference to the general director of VTB Mobile Maxim Sharkov, by September 25, 2019 it will be possible to connect to a mobile operator in five Moscow offices of VTB. By the end of December, SIM cards will appear in most of the bank's branches, from October - in St. Petersburg. In 2020, VTB Mobile plans to cover more than 15 regions.

According to Konstantin Ankilov, head of the TMT Consulting analytical agency, VTB Mobile is unlikely to significantly change the market situation: as the experience of other players shows, the company can claim "market shares." This is more of an image project and an attempt to create a comprehensive product for the bank's clients, the expert believes.

VTB Mobile became the third banking MVNO project in Russia after Tinkoff Mobile and SberMobile, launched in December 2017 and September 2018, respectively.[2]
