Biography

Graduated from faculty of Applied nuclear physics of National Research Nuclear University of MEPhI.

Dmitry Gostev began the professional way to Samsung in 2006.

In 2014 headed the direction of sales of Samsung Electronics in Russia.^[1]

In 2017, after position assignment of the head of Samsung Mobile in Russia, was responsible for strategy implementation of the company in a segment of mobile and wearable devices, development and promotion of a product portfolio, an output of the innovation products and services (such as Samsung Pay, Samsung Forward, lines of Galaxy S, Galaxy A and Galaxy Note, Galaxy Fold and many others), building of partner relations and formation of steady leader positions of the company in the market.

On November 1, 2019 it became known that Dmitry Gostev is the head of Samsung Mobile in Russia – after 13 years of work made the decision to leave the company.

Dmitry Gostev achieved results, significant for the company, on a post of the head of Samsung Mobile in Russia. Thanks to excellent knowledge of the industry, outstanding managerial qualities and the high level of self-discipline Dmitry together with perfectly picked up Samsung Mobile Russia command created steady perception of Samsung as the strong player in the market of mobile devices, and was strengthened by leader positions of the company, significantly having increased a market share in the region of presence. We thank Dmitry for great job and we wish him further success — the president of the headquarters of Samsung Electronics in Russia and the CIS countries Simon Song told.[2]
