SOLUT is a B2B solution in the field of industrial Internet of things, aimed at analyzing the efficiency of working time in industry, construction, retail, housing and communal services, the mining segment and other sectors of the economy.

2021: Developing an Employee Control Solution with Samsung Watch Active

Solut, a member of the LANIT group of companies, has developed a solution that allows you to recognize and analyze the actions of employees that they perform during a work shift. This was announced by LANIT on September 6, 2021. Wearable Samsung Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active2 are used to collect data on workers' actions. The company preferred Samsung devices due to the open OS, which allows you to collect raw sensor data and clock specifications that meet the needs of projects.

The essence of the system is that employees are equipped with Samsung wearables on which SOLUT software is pre-installed. During the working day, the devices accumulate information on the movements of human hands using an accelerometer and a gyroscope, after which data is transmitted to the server. To integrate the solution, it is enough to equip the worker with one wearable device in which the SOLUT application is installed. Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active2 do not need to be connected to the smartphone, nor does it need to be covered with any networks (GSM, LoRaWAN, etc.). After the shift is finished, workers charge their devices (for example, in a warehouse), and the application automatically uploads data via Wi-Fi. Reports on the activities of workers with different levels of granulation are available on SOLUT web interfaces. They can also be uploaded to the customer's management systems.

The SOLUT monitoring system using AI and neural networks analyzes information about workers' hand movements and is able to "understand" what exactly they did during the work shift. The system recognizes the activities characteristic of each particular specialty or work assignment and generates reports showing the percentage of useful work or useless actions (rest, downtime, etc.) for a given period, and restoring the full picture of the work day in seconds. The system is able to recognize the work of personnel at two levels. For example, enlarged production activities: "basic work," "simple," "movements," "installation of panels," "work with goods," as well as elementary actions characteristic of each specialty: "laying out the solution," "welding," "wrench work," "laying out the goods on the shelf," "working with electrical tools," "twisting the cable," "using the smartphone," etc.

Software developed by SOLUT improves the productivity and output of each employee by eliminating downtime and work pauses, ranking employees by performance, identifying and scaling best practices, and controlling the quality of critical process and safety procedures. The decision has already been tested by a major developer and one of the representatives of the network FMCG retail, which equipped all the staff of several of the stores with wearable devices. According to the results of the implemented projects, an increase in personnel production by more than 20% was recorded.

2019: Announcement of an intelligent labor monitoring system

On November 5, 2019, LANIT introduced the SOLUT intelligent labor monitoring system.

According to the company, SOLUT technology increases the productivity of working specialties by creating AI-recognition models that track the percentage of useful work performed by workers. Each employee is equipped with wearable devices that accumulate data on the movements of the worker during the shift, and transmit them to the server. SOLUT models recognize activities specific to a particular specialty or work assignment, generate reports that show the percentage of useful work or useless activities - rest, downtime, and other important characteristics for evaluating.

Alexander Belousov will present the SOLUT system to Vladimir Dozhdev, Director of the Digital Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia

The solution allows the employer to change the approach to motivation of employees of working specialties, rank employees by productivity, identify best practices and scale them. In addition, SOLUT allows you to monitor the quality of critical processes and safety compliance. As of November 2019, according to the results of pilot projects, the possibility of increasing staff productivity by more than 20% was recorded.
